A Normal or Not?
I hatched this dark female this year in a YB clutch and I have her tagged as a normal but wanted to get your opinions. I know normals vary in color just wanted to double check on this one.

She is a bit different from most of the normals I have hatched kind of looks granitey. Her head and back have kind of a burgundy/reddish colored blushing.

Here she is with a reduced pattern normal I hatched this year. You can see the reddish head a bit and some of the blushing.

Thanks for all the responses. I kind of figured she was a normal especially as I was taking her pics but sometimes you need that reassurance. LOL

My vote is YB, more based on the flames and colors. Definitely a keeper in my book.

I still think it is a normal. I do not see a clear enough marker for a YB. Just my opinion.

Black Belly?? I could not find one on WOBP. Do you have any pics?

And yeah I wish I had a few GHI's laying around. Wouldn't that be swell?

I love that dark stomach! I'm hanging onto a male with a very dark stomach. I'm hoping to breed him next season! I hope she proves out genetic! If not she will throw some amazing very dark babies.

Outback Reptiles claims they have a proven black belly line but you cant find any photos / info anywhere. That's all I could come up with a couple months ago. Has anyone heard otherwise?

That is very interesting it could be possible. The female was bred to a pastel last year and the babies were very bright. My friend has the male that was produced and it seems to get brighter with every shed. I have asked her for a pic and will post as soon as I get it.
