What day do you feed?

What day do you feed and is there any particular reason you feed on that day?

I generally feed legless kids on Sundays because it's an easier day to coordinate all that. The rest of the week I'm feeding kids, cats, dogs, fish, and cresties. And occasionally me. :)

I feed every five days or so, unless he/she is in shed mode. As he/she matures I will slow it down to about a feeding every 10 days.

Every 5 days is a bit much for a boid, Raj. Boids have slow metabolism and the maximum you should feed your BP is every 7 days. If fed too often, they will not have enough time to absorb all they can get from their meals and this can affect their growth.

I feed all of my baby/yearling boids every 7 days......yearlings and up every 10-14 days......I feed my baby colubrids every 5 days.

I feed thursdays because at least that way if I need to go out of town for a weekend I know my guy has eaten (well, he hasn't eaten yet but when he does it will be on a Thursday by God.) Plus the only time I have to feed is after 8PM and if I were going out of town for a weekend I'd be gone by 8PM

Hmmm....I was doing this cause the BP.net care sheet says to do so every 5 days. But the little guys is just an inch over two feet now so I guess I will slow down. May wanna tell Godsy about the caresheet deal!

Yeah, 5 days is too much for any boid. 7 days is just right. :)

good to know about the 7 day thing thanks for clearing that up David! I was doing 7 because I figure he will be hungry if he's got to wait seven instead of five, plus it's easier on my relatively crazy schedule

i feed on monday. start off the week with a little herp fun.

we feed everyday, yup somebady has to eat everyday, I guess I don't count for this poll..lol Why don't I ever count..lol

Every seven days here unless in shed. Then the day after the shed, then seven day's later...etc. etc.

Every Saturday we thaw out our mousicles and have a feast for everyone. All of ours are still under a year old.

Caesar gets fed every 10 days or so. He's still eating very sporatically. :( I miss the days when he would eat every seven days without fail.

Shaggy the beardie, of course, gets fed every day. Greedy little guy that he is! :D

My bp's eat on fridays... except when in shed. My savanna eats daily.

Yeah, the bp.net caresheet is wrong, slightly. It's gonna be re-phrased soon.

tuesdays the day, except i missed yesterday. Shes consuming as i type.

Ill be feeding my new guy on satrurdays, and Plissken on Sundays, this way I can handle one snake starting late monday night, and the other late tuesday night.

Ha Ha Ha, I had to re-read this after a quick glance. At first I thought that you were saying that you feed your snake legless kids on sundays! LOL! Of course i would have taken it as a joke, but that was what i thought the first time! LOL!!

As for the question, with the way Hissy ate today, I think that i am probably gunna look to feed her every five days so my feeding day will vary!
