    albino's and black pastel albino's
Came home from a show this weekend up in Washington to find a clutch of albino's and black pastels and black pastel albino's waiting for us.
We have yet to produce albino's until now so we were pretty stoked to say the least.
The amazing thing about the momma albino is the past 2 years she has dropped 18 eggs and 15 of those have been black pastels :rolleye2:

The clutch is 3 albino black pastels 2 albinos and 4 black pastel het albino ~ no normal hets

That's awesome, congrats! I'm pairing a het x het now - hoping the odds gods are good to me. Quick question - how do you distinguish the difference between a regular albino and a black pastel albino? Is it in the pattern?

Thanks and good luck when you do that pairing!
The difference is the albino black pastel is a black pastel that's been albino'ized :)
The pattern is the give away...

    Nice Congrats!!

Is the orange much more vibrant on them because of the black pastel? I saw a black pastel lavender albino and the orange on that bad boy was insane. Just wondering if there is a big difference in regular albinos.

    Thanks!

Generally the darker the snake the brighter the albino version will be, which is why black pastel works so well.
Whether they are "orange" or not is pretty variable though, even in this clutch there's bright orange albino babies and normal yellowy albino babies.

Thanks, I'm not so sure a blizzard ball is one of my goals but it might be eventually.
I have hypo and clown projects in the works that will want to meet albino at some point and
we have an adult pinstripe pos het albino that needs to be proven out.
