Egg's Egg's Egg's Egg's!!!!

I have been waiting for this day for the past three years!! Lily as been in my collection the longest ( she got me started on Royals again ) I bought her 6 years ago as a yearling weighing 400ish grams she never seemed to put weight on even though she pounded food like no tomorrow. She hovered around the 1500ish gram mark for a couple of years but she did hit the 1000gram wall before that though!

Well I decided I would breed her Three years ago and no joy so I didn't think much of it I bred her again at the start of this year and repeatedly put the Male to her over the duration of a few months. I never saw her ovulate well I'm not 100% sure because she was 'building' which I thought was ovulation but everyone said it can't be because she is going to long ( Lasted around 3-4 days ) But the proof is in the pudding today :)

Thank you :) I like taking photos and its always good to have something to remember it all by ( I suffer with memory issues so photographs are great )

She was bred a funky Cinnamon called George, Last count was 5 eggs but I think she's packing 7 but I have left her alone for now so I can give her a good couple of hours to finish and rest, Then its in the cooker they go and Lily gets a bath :)

I always thought Ovy's were only 24-48 hours :S Which is why I thought it was building :D But everyone else did say that also.

Final Count was 8 eggs she was 2100ish grams before laying and now 1200 grams :( she looks ever so skinny now though but won't be long till shes feeding again and back up to her natural weight :D

She's had an extremely tough day :( Bless her, she started between 7-8 this morning don't know what time she finished I just left her to it after the second lot of photos :) I didn't expect her to be packing 8 though she's a first timer and my first ever clutch :D I had a clutch of four a few years ago but the female came to me gravid and I didn't do anything so classed it as not mine :) would you believe I have been in the hobby for 25 years and this is my first clutch of Royal Eggs :) It's the wifes fault she started me on them I was normally a lizard person lol. I should be expecting a clutch from another female soon ( shes just had prelay ) and possibly a clutch from my het clowns but they are still mating so will be next year now.

Now the dreaded 60 day wait I'm cooking at 87.8 degrees - 88.2 degrees is that ok ?

She's had a mad day indeed started at 7/8am this morning don't know what time she finished though. Am extremely proud of her though now its the dreaded wait for them to hatch. Is it too early to cut yet LOL

At the start of this year so 10 months ago lol but was introducing him all through out he was also going with another female who is due in around 10 days. Thanks :D I'm still buzzing now lol.

Its not a problem :) I never really thought about documenting it at the time but had a look back through the photos and I saw I documented it all step by step :D The mum is a stunner thats for sure :) I Bought her with another female a few years back because I felt sorry for her ( previous owners didn't have a clue ) and it's what got me started on Royals properly.

Lol, somehow I missed the fact that her name was Lily. I named my first BP Lily as well (and ironically she didn't go for me her first season). My Lily isn't as nice as yours though, she's more of a standard normal. :P

LOL :) Lily was the third I bought but she was the youngest out of the three the other two I didn't know their ages but they both passed away last year :( So I am so happy that Lily produced me eggs. Lily is just a standard normal to be honest she is probably the normalist looking one out of all of them.

You say you notice ovulation like for four days? I also notice the ovulation like 4 days before happening, I´m like..ok she´s ovulating, next day she looks bigger, ok, it today not yesterday...and so for like four days. The climax last 24hs, but there´s a ´process you can certainly observe.

Yeah everyone kept saying its building but I was certain it was Ovy well it must of been.
