    Tell me no!!!!
I've been....ummmmm....."looking" at piebalds. I keep telling myself I'm just looking but the more I look the more I want. I already have 5 and will be getting my sixth BP week after next. Would it hurt to buy two hets and maybe hope for the best??? I mean when you have 6 BPs does 2 more really make a difference? Of course I dont have the room which means Id have to upgrade to a rack system (oh darn). Does this qualify as having a BP addiction? Is there a 12 step program for this? Im going :rolleye2:

The way i see it is, pied or not... youll have your husband.

Husband or not... youll have your pied.
Why not work on a visual het pied male and a normal het pied female and have a kick butt chance at highend babies?

    Thats the way id go.

Seeing as i used to own a pied... thats tbe way id go.

I am always looking. I just bought a butter male and have a sweet looking enchi on hold. I told my wife I needed some males for certain projects and I needed to get them this year because if I waited until next season there is a good possibility the guys wont be ready in time so I need to get them this year and raise them up a bit. She understood that it was necessary (is it really? :P) and gave me the green light. I had to do a little more convincing for the butter though. I said I would really like to have a BEL in my collection and if I got him (250) I would be able to make my own with my mojave and save 1000 bucks. She liked how that sounded so she gave me the green light. If they made coupons for this hobby my collection would be twice as big. :D

I told myself no once... and I got my fire female with a freebie male normal for my boyfriend. I said no again, and got my eyeless hatchlings :P

I've learned saying no just brings more surprise BPs into the house :D

Maybe get a pastel het pied and get a visual male next year for an even better deal!

What are you thinking (leading up to a no as requested)? Please collect more things that need 30 years worth of care. Please contribute to the bubble ball python market that when it eventually pops millions of animals will be unwanted because their value plummets.:colbert:

Hope that helps and hope the sarcasm wasn't too harsh. :D

I say go for it! And as far as my opinion goes, I think the BP market is fine. Yes there are a few problems, but with education and people actually being responsible owners, things will workout.

I was in the same position as you pretty much friend, I messaged a guy about a male pied and he ended up giving me a really good deal on his female sibling. Although it was a big chunk of cash especially after buying 5 snakes I have no regretted the purchase once. My girlfriend loves her also which is a plus. I picked up my pied female AFTER picking up my pair of hets also, brings in some new blood lines and the higher % chance to produce visuals the first time around should at least make you your money back in 2.5 years or so.

Of course not only being about the money the pied gene will get you started in many great projects for the future since almost every pied combo is freakin awesome. Or they can give you trade value if you didn't want to spend more getting into future projects, that always helps when you want to meet breeder friends and keep a little cash in your pockets for the future.

You know when you're out and about in the world, and think of your snakes? And you just get this crazy urge to go home and look at how pretty they are and snuggle with them and watch netflix? You'll have ANOTHER little buddy to do that with!!! What are you waiting for?!? :taz:
