For those of you with 2 or more snakes, I was just curious as to how long it was before you had more than one in the house.

I still only have one snake. I've had him for about eight months. I did get a second herp a couple weeks ago...a beardie. Unfortunately, as wonderful as the lizard is...he doesn't come close to satisfying my desires for another snake. LOL

I had Bob about 2 1/2 months before I got Nanners. I saw him thought he was cool and I had an extra tank. By the way off topic but Mrs MacWin is going to be borrowing a DigiCam this week sometime so I will finally have pictures of my boys to show off :D .

Your honor - I am going to have to plea the fifth on this inquiry and redirect to Smynx . . .

We got Suki for our son on December 24th. Smulkin got Neph on January 25th. Benny and Betty followed about a month later, and then there was the herp show March 6th when we acquired 4 more. A week later, Smulkin ordered Kali 'cause he was regretting the fact that he hadn't purchased a blood at the herp show. (Now you know where our tax return went.) I've put a temporary stay on any new snake purchases, but we still look at females for potential breeding projects.

Apologies for that horrible photo, which was taken by our then 13-year-old son. We had just finished body surfing on Hatteras Island, and if any of you have been there, you know that's a beating.

I'm gonna shift this to the General forum since it's not really about bp's at all. :)

Believe it or not, Smynx, you and Smulkin look very much like I pictured! (From what I can tell in that picture, anyhow...it's harder to see you.)

I had only one for about 6 months, but she died quite suddenly from an IBD - 2 months later (and much weeping, sanatizing, and worrying later) I have two new beautiful balls.

Gosh that would be kinda hard  Especially once that Retic gets to be like 30 feet long and they wanna know why you keep hauling a dead goat into your room every other week!

LOL! Tell them it's for black-magic rituals...they'd probably be less worried about that than about the retic!

yeah my parents don't know about my BP either... but I have a history of rescuing animals, so I'm sure part of them wonders what exactly I'll come home with this summer.... though this is the first pet I've chosen rather than rescued. I'm 22 and live in Nashville about eight months out of the year and my parents are pretty open minded about stuff so I think I'm in the clear - but I'll tell them soon... summer is approaching! haha

Thats funny I got the same reaction from my folks and Im 35! Talkin to my pops and told him casualy bout the BP, he calls me that night cause he saw a show on animal planet on giant constictors, worried my BP would choke me to death I finaly convinced him it wasnt quite as dangerous as owning a retic, Mom on the other hand.........well she'll always be mom.

Thanks, Judy! The guys were being cute again and I had to snap photos. :)

WhiteTiger, I'm with Judy on this one. If you were my kid, you could expect some serious consequences, but then again, my kids would come to me first. You need to tell your parents about your snake, and fast.
