Let her eat it. Tomorrow, wipe her down. Let her at least start to digest it before stressing her out by picking her up and cleaning. Relax, no biggie.

My BRB did that last night in his water bowl. I had just cleaned it too.

The fun side to owning snakes!

Snakes good... It's all gonna' end up in the belly if she eats it regularly, right?

Cleaning, not my area. Warm, wet paper towels sounds good, maybe a drop of soap. You don't really want rat blood on your snake unsanitized, even if it is captive bred rat blood, do you? Someone with more experience can answer that.

My question for some people though, why don't ya'll take the water bowls out of the enclosure?

Because it's huge and many times he is in it. Even after he ate he laid in it. It was a wrestling match to get him to relocate to his hide so I could clean it. He is 5.5 ft and alittle pushy at times.

I agree with the above. No problem letting her eat it and just wait till tomorrow to gently wipe her down with a damp towel. Give her time to digest. Nice to see that so many members jumped in help with an urgernt concern. It is really cool to know that there are others who love snakes as much as we do!

Well if the snake has no problem eating the "ovaries, intestines, stomachs" when theyre inside the rat, what would make you think she'd have trouble eating them hanging out of the rat?

EDIT: Do rats have multiple stomachs? I wish i did...
