Please help me choose which Coastal carpet female!

I need some help you guys...and it's a first! I'm excited to see that the two pure Coastal carpet Jag Sib females from one of Mike Curtin's '12 clutches that I've been eying has become available and I'm having just the hardest time deciding which one to go with. This is seriously the first time this has happened, I usually know exactly what snake I'm going with but I'm having the hardest time! I think it's because both look so different and I like the looks of each...so I'd like some thoughts to maybe help be decide. I already have my boyfriend's vote and Mike's opinion but I want more opinions :)

Here's Female 1: I really like her overall dark colors (I seem to fancy darker snakes in general) and her thick bands with the subtle white coming up from her belly. Cute face to boot too.

And Female 2: A lot lighter than Female 1 with lots of blushing and a bit busier pattern. Has a cute random spot on her back and a strong head pattern.

I'd like to get back to him with my decision later today but wanted some more quick thoughts on these two beauties. *These pics were used with permission from Mike so please don't use them without contacting him first*

I'm always partial to the cool head patterns on carpets, and that first one has a perfect looking script H! Very nice pair though, can see why it's hard to decide, haha

I really like the second one! I dunno why but i love the constrasting colors more then blending, and her colors seem to pop more (: But thats ust my opinion!

Thanks for your input! She does have a lot of blushing and lighter tones over the other. Keep the opinions coming!

The first little girl is just gorgeous! I like her pattern and color a lot. If I had to choose between the two, the first little girl would be my pick!

I say you should take both. Lol. They are both pretty. But if I had to pick one, I would pick 2.

My choice would be number 2.

Chet: I would love to since they're both stunning, but I need to hold back some money for another addition and some feeders once they get what I need in stock :P

Are you local to the breeder? if so go hold them and see who has the better personality.

Nope, but I've admired his animals for a long time and knew that I would be getting my coastal from him when the time came. For personality though I'm not too worried if one is super sweet vs not, I have a few butt hole snakes in my collection already and I care for them just as much as the docile ones (they keep me on my toes lol)

x2 thats the first thing i look at on carpets too lol. The "H" is cool BUT the second one has a skull and crossbones looking head pattern. I also like the second ones blushing a little better. Its weird i tend to like darker snakes too, but in this case i think i like #2 better. Good luck, be sure to let us know which one you pick! :D

I personally like the second one. It has a better pattern in my opinion, I like the more even stripes on her, and the coloring is very pretty, light blushing and high contrast. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to take the first girl, but the second is my preference :]

I would go with #2. I like lighter snakes. Plus it has a cool looking monster/gremlin looking thing on its head. Congrats! Go #2 ! (Lol :D)

#2: beautiful skull and cross bones! She seems like she will have a nice pattern/nice contrast as an adult, but then carpets are a bit of a guessing game when their babies.

Thanks guys! I think I'm just about there with a decision, I may have to go with my initial gut feeling on this one. Grrr to hard decisions!

Kinda like the torture of getting a light tent but then telling everyone you cant take pics bc your camera isnt good enough... Huhhhhhhhhhhh(super sigh). Yea believe it or not, someone was actually cruel enough to do this to me...:(:P

It's a done deal! I made my decision :) I hope to have her within the next week or two depending on schedules and weather so I'm excited! Will for sure post photos when the little one is here. If you want to wait to see which I picked then I wouldn't cheat and peek at Mike's ad for them, though I wouldn't hesitate to check out the really nice carpets he still has available.
