Why do we not see more Panda Pied Balls?

I'm telling you, the only panda pied I ever see pictured is the one first produced (I think) by Outback Reptiles. Why do we not see more? Black pastel is not exactly uncommon, and you would think it would have been done again!

For those that don't know, panda pied is, to my understanding, Super Black Pastel Piebald.

Because to make one you need a male and a female black pastel het pied of breeding size which can take three years in the case of the female? And then to hit the odds?

Someone made the super cinnamon pied which was totally white and called it the white panda. If that helps. :)

As far as I understand you get alot of deformities with super black pastels. So this makes a very hard morph to produce.

That's because there is only one of them so far (that has been reviled to the public at least)

Something strange is going on with them. Either there are people who have produced them and not come forward, or there is something wrong with the combo where they fail to thrive.

I looked on his page and didn't see it. Sure it wasn't Michael Cole?

I too think its Michael Cole.

There's a camp of folks that believe the Panda is a black pastel pied, not a super.

Personally, I've got to believe there's some other folks that have at least tried this one. Any time that a person new to the hobby sees that snake, they poop bricks. So, it's gotta' be worth some money. Having said that, it leads me to believe that there's probably some genetic difficulties in producing one. Otherwise, wouldn't we all be doing it?

I'm a pretty big black pastel fan, so give it about 5 years and maybe I'll work on one of these for ya'. :P

I am also a really big black pastel fan (love that leisen line :gj:), so I wanted to work on them also. That's really why I am asking this. I don't want to run headlong into deformity issues, and be seriously saddened by babies coming out with difficulties. That would not be good for the animals or me!

It's just weird that there isn't more info out there about it. I guess we don't have any more info here on BP.net though :/
