Thanks!! He shocked me after his last shed - head turned *really* red. I have very high hopes for his future kiddos.

I agree - that last one is just stunning! I also love The Space Cadet's striping, and the cream and grey coloring of "yet unnamed"! :gj:

Actually none of these are "chrome" heads. That's a trait seen in Sumatran STPs (P. curtus), and occasionally in blood pythons...the blood python pictured here is a redhead.

The only 2 Space Cadet sibs we parted with were $1500 each. The rest we kept for future projects, just for perspective. :)

Oh, I meant the general shape of the head... is there a name for that? I had just been watching a Snakebytes episode about blood pythons and he mentioned the "chrome" shape.. oh well.

Hmmm...that's a new one. Chrome generally refers to the color, not the shape, at least when it comes to STPs & bloods. I'll have to check out that episode for clarification. I've always thought of them as having wedge-shaped heads.

Man I love all three but the silver on the middle one is my favorite.

That's another really cool thing about bloods & short-tails - they usually get better and better with age, while ball pythons tend to fade/brown out as they grow, depending upon the morph.
