New PVC Rack Build in my living room!!!
So after much research i finally have my new PVC rack up and running. 3 sheets of 1/2" pvc cut to my specs and about a weekend of time yielded my first ever rack build.

3 cds at each corner for a decent gap since the last rack that I bought had no gap and caused humidity problems that caused mold in the tubs.

    Improvised clamping device.

Completed rack minus heat and backing. Since I had to do build a rack to replace the old one in the picture on the right I thought this would be a good opportunity to add some more space.

    Adding heat.

    Completed back of rack.

    Finally in their new home.

Looks nice. Where'd you get the PVC from?

Thanks. It doesn't have the same fit as a professionally build pvc rack by it serves my purpose very well. My only problem is that the top tub doesn't heat up like the other tubs. I think there's too much heat escaping from the top. I'm going to fix that by closing off the back of the top slot. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the fact that there is no flexwatt on the top shelf. Only on the bottom of the top tub. Whereas all the other tubs get heat from top and bottom as it radiates.

Looks really good! I wish I had a place close to me that sold PVC sheets.

You probably do. Just do a local search online for plastics.

I did the same with 2 sheets of xPVC, was about 200 with the cuts made. only difference is mine is open air on the sides and back of it, and also my first levels starts about 5 inches off the floor with open air underneath. Can take a pic if you want for comparison. Albeit I did a shoddy job on mine as I built it in my living room on carpet, works great though.

Nice. Sure all pics are welcome. I'm all for showing off your stuff. It helps people with getting ideas on their own builds.
