need help - does this already exist?
    Hello,

I'm trying to figure out since a few weeks but can't find any.
Has already someone bred a Vanilla Spinner (Vanilla Spider Pinstripe)?
WOB don't show it on the big list, but maybe someone has seen any of these already?

    best regards
    Timo

Well, since vanilla is basically a highlighter or lightening gene, that should help at least some in deciding if the babies carry vanilla.

From your pictures, I'm going to say the first baby is vanilla, the second is not, and the third is a maybe. The pastel gene will affect things, that is true, but I feel pretty confident the first baby is a vanilla spinner. Maybe a few more pictures of her ?

The second baby doesn't say vanilla to me at all. I'm going to call that one a pastel pinstripe.

The spider is obviously a spider and not a bumblebee, I am leaning towards it being a vanilla spider, but it might just be a really light spider. Any chance for pictures of the parents? I'd really like to see them, and see how their looks translate to the babies.

That pastel vanilla seems awful dark, but I freely admit I've never seen an adult.

The clutch pictures are very helpful.

I'm going to call it like this:

    Vanilla Pastel Pinstripe

    Vanilla Spinner

    Vanilla Spider

    Pastel

The only one I hesitate on is that spider. I've seen some amazing gold spiders as hatchlings. That Vanilla Blast is a sure thing. No mistaking that baby for anything else. I am also pretty sure you got yourself a Vanilla Spinner. Not a bad clutch all in all.

Ah. See from that one picture it's hard to tell.

But trust me that one is most definitely a Vanilla Blast, I'd bet my collection on it. I am fairly certain you have a Vanilla Spinner as well.

I look forward to seeing them grow.

Having a Vanilla Spinner would be awesome... As far as I know there still is no one existing...
I'll take new pics after next shed with the camera, these are just pics taken with my smartphone...

I would contact the McQuades (spelling?) as they are the ones that proved out the vanilla stuff. I would think the vanilla spinner has been done but they would know. IMO I think the blast has vanilla and so does the spider not sure on the spinner

I am positive that's a vanilla spinner. The spider looks to be a vanilla as well. And even though the blast lost it's faded head, the fact it was so faded when it hatched tells me it's vanilla. At least, I've never seen just a pastel pinstripe hatch with such a faded head.

I think you really hit the odds with this clutch.

My male Vanilla is from Gulf Coast reptiles. From what I understand they were the people who first found, imported and bred the vanilla gene. I consider myself fortunate to have a Gulf Coast line animal.
