Champ and champ combo thread?

So I think I'm going to pick up a champagne male (or combo depending on my budget) for a future project or 2. I wasn't really into champs really, but I think their variability and combos in certain morphs is still untapped.. Leopard champs, special (het crystal) champs, enchi champs, desert champs... Though I probably won't be working with desert, I think the other ones are quite nice. Even looking the pastel champs that have a hint of pattern look fantastic, and I really want to produce a cool combo to keep in my collection forevers :P.

long as you dont add any spider to that:gj: i think some champ combos are amazing, and i like both the loght and dark champs for different projects.

It's just the way his tail was resting against the contour of his head. His tail is normal, it does look kinda wonky in the photo though. I just snatched them out of the incubator quick to get some photos, didn't want to mess with them too much yet. Once they shed out I will get some better pics and post them up.

I hated champs at first bc i couldnt appreciate what they did to a morph but after seeing alot of the combos at the last show, im in love with them! Just the morph by itself and the variation within it is really cool. Pics of Jinx's champin and this thread are NOT helping hahaha!

We have two female champs and I must say in person they are an amazing looking snake all on their own.

Dave your pastel champ is exactly the kind of pastel champ I would want to get, if I ended up getting a combo male champ :bow::bow:

My pastel special female is the lucky lady who will be seeing a champ if that's the route I end up choosing. I think special champs and pastel special champs are fantastic and unreal. However, pastel champs and single-gene champs are also definitely sweet. Champs are definitely something special once you see 'em in person.. Heck.. Brock Wagner let me hold the enchi champagne (pos het ghost) at NARBC.... Oh man... I had goosebumps, and I didn't even want to move... haha, it's how I felt when I saw a bumblebee for the first time! I'm kinda glad that my buddy wasn't around to take pictures of me... I probably looked stupid :P:D.

I didn't before, but after looking at the special champ, and the pastel enchi champ, I'm a believer :D. I still don't think there is MUCH to do, but I want to make some of my favorites :gj:.

i refuse to let this thread die without seeing some more champ stuff... Im getting this fuzzy warm feeling in my chest. Its either true love or heartburn...

Those champ lessers are hot!!! Then again I love everything with lesser :) I'd also like to see more pics of everyone's champs. Those ringers kinda remind me of the whole urban camo.

I have a growing appreciation for champagnes, to the point where I've been seriously looking at them as potential additions to my collection, but have decided against it. HUGE fan of the mimosa and enchi champs, love the extreme ringers, and there are the other occasional examples that I find outstanding...but still as a whole, it's not something I want enough to go out and buy yet. Maybe someday...

Your champin is smokin! I love me some pattern, but even the perfectly clean patternless snake is awesome. I love her belly too! The brown melts to white subtly :bow:. Yeah. Champagnes are sweet. Wish more folks had more champ stuff! Ideas are definitely brewing :P

Ive seen this guy before, nicole showed me pics of him. He's adorable, hopefully you can get some sweet mimosas from him! His little heart on his head is especially cool.:gj:

And when Nicole came to pick up rats from us she got all kinds of excited when she saw her and had to take pics to send you!
The main reason we got her was to produce Mimosas, but now we are hoping we hit the odds with our POG x Mojave het Ghost pairing this year and get a male Hypo Pastave to pair with her in the future!

This picture does him no justice, though -- in person, much of this snake's body and head are BRIGHT orange. (I need to take some new pics ...)

I'm in the same boat as many of y'all: when I first saw the champagnes and a lot of the initial combos, my response was an overwhelming "Meh" and I was glad to have at least one high-dollar morph that I WASN'T coveting. :rolleyes: I even saw one in person and was thoroughly unimpressed.

Then I saw the pastel calico champagne posted by Sloan Reptiles (I don't believe it is their animal, but they posted the pic), and then the Enchi champagne, and then the morph started to grow on me. At first I only wanted one female to add some champ genetics to my collection, but when this guy came along, he kind of made sense what with my calico and Enchi females being up to size this year ... :please:
