    Inquiry - The bean farm
I need a thermostat ASAP and was wondering how people feel about the bean farm. Processing times, shipping, how's their in-stock?

    Thanks!

I've ordered a few times from them. Because they are on the west coast, the shipping is longer than ordering from Reptile Basics for me.

I wouldn't deal with them. When we first got started, we inquired with them about some things. Did not care for their customer service one bit. Go to Reptile Basics, Rich is great and he will get your stuff out ASAP. Also Spyder Robotics is great if its a Herpstat you are looking for.

agreed on both counts. the only problem right now is that people have realized en masse how great spyder robotics is, and I believe almost every thermostat model they sell is on back order at the moment. if the op is in a rush, RBI will probably have the quickest turnaround time, and VE makes a good product as well.

I've been doing business with The Bean Farm for over 10 years now, and they've always treated me like gold. Wouldn't hesitate to do business with them again!

I've dealt with them many times in the past, the first time was at least 20 years ago. They've been in the business for longer then any of the other on line stores and have a good track record, I've always been pleased with their products and service.

I love using the Bean Farm. Never had an issue, and the bonus for me is quick shipping (living in WA it gets here in a day or two even with the cheapest rate)

    Ditto,
and if it's not in stock they'll have it drop shipped.
Priority shipping and being on the west coast means getting it quick.

Reptile basics is good too, but slow shipping means waiting 2-3 days longer or more since Bean farm typically gets packages to me in 2 days :)

I also have had very good service from the bean farm, reptile basics doesn't ship outside the US so I have only inquired about products they brand for info for pre purchase support I have found this to be spotty at best.

My last order from them (which was 3 weeks ago) was three business days from placing my order til they shipped it. I wasn't in a hurry so it was no big deal.

I use the bean farm for a lot of dry goods they are local so I just pick it up. There customer service is great but so is Rich's from RBI :P

I ordered a Herpstat from them. Things are on back order and I haven't gotten my thermostat in a month. It's really not their fault. I ordered some PAM, F10, and a scale and it came quick once they returned from the labor day weekend.

Just plugging the VE-300X2 by RBI. It's the only proportional thermostat I have used and seems to the best value at RBI.

I ended up getting the ve-100 for now. It's been great so far. The room it's in keeps a really constant temperature so it isn't really an issuer that it isn't proportional. I'm planning on getting a ve-300 and using this one as a back up sooner or later.

Only Business I have done with them was ordering 20 feet of flexwatt. Ordering was simple and had received my order 3 days after purchase. So for my experiance good
