Pieds! :D

Hi guys! Missed almost every one of you :D

Anyways, there's a high chance I'll be able to come back to this 'world'. And I'm leaning towards getting my pin back and/or getting a Pied.

What's the average baby male price this season (medium to high white)?

And what are things to look in a 'good' pied (besides the 'preferential' high-low white). And has anyone proved if the amount of white is genetic yet?

I'd say $700 is the average price for a male. Most at the last show i saw were $650 M/$750 F, with a mix of whiteness ratios. I usually am looking for low white ones though. I prefer them. Like 25% white or less is what i like!

I dont believe anything has been proven genetic with them.

Prices are wacky right now. Low-white males are running around $500-700, high-whites around $1000 and up. Females are running a good $200 more than the boys on average.

But really, it's all over the place. A lot of the more expensive snakes are obviously prettier animals, but often it seems totally random.

I picked up this little charmer a few months ago. He is a 2011 I got for $450. Gotta love the high white pieds!

Well, as far as I know, the amount of white is not passed from parent to offspring. Case in point:

Both of the pieds he has fathered so far were at least 50% white. And mom is only a het.

I've seen low white males as low as $450, and high white males are usually $150-200 more. Low white females I've seen at $700, high whites at $ 975-1250.

Got this 50% Pied (my preferred spot visually) for 600 shipped, there were 3 out there like this price / % earlier this year for 2012. I've seen some "daily deals" for 550 shipped on Kingsnake from random sellers. Just check BOI on them first!

I got my 2011 male for $550 shipped a few weeks ago. (My avatar) I'm at work and can't upload some better pics right now, lol...I would consider him 75% white, right inbetween med/high white. A few months ago I couldn't find a low white male hatchling for less than $600, the prices seem to have deflated a bit recently.

Anyone know where I can find a high white for a good price? I've seen some outrageous prices on kingsnake...

I would really like to keep it under 800. Also I wouldn't mind a Med white or an excellent low, but prefer high. I'm going to the show in Tampa on Friday, I've never been to one before, how are the prices there?

Not all of them some retain their color VERY well this is 1500 grams female she is now over 2000 grams and still very bright

I think those colors would react accordingly.

Orange would be more pale yellow. And dark brown parts would become a light brown. Over age. But I could be wrong. My boyfriends boy use to be that color and now he looks like he has yellow and browner browns
