Frequent shedding?

Not even a full month ago my ball had its first shed in my custody; monday night I noticed that its eyes were clouded and skin was very dull. Amber eats once a week, and has only eaten 3 mice since then (monday would have been her day to eat but I don't feed her during a shed cycle).

It is a baby ball, so I know they grow fast, but I had no idea it would be shedding this much. Is this normal?

    Frequent shedding?
I'm no expert on this...but I've heard that babies can shed as frequently as once a month. I imagine they're growing pretty fast. I know they will sometimes shed if they are super stressed out or have parasites or an injury...but if you know it is none of those things....then she's probably just a healthy, growing girl!

yeah, definitly not stress or parasites. She takes no more than 10 seconds to stike for a meal and has a variety of hides and temps to choose from in her habitat. I just didn't think they would shed so often. Her growth in the last few weeks has been very noticable, but I wasn't sure if shedding this frequently is uncommon.

I agree with Judy. Especially if she's growing fast enough for you to notice, it's probably just because she's growing. Smulkin's Afrock sheds at least once a month. Her growth is phenomenal!

So was that monstrous mess she made on the kitchen floor the other day - the full combined expulsion of all things cloacal. Yeeeeesh. Thank god for vinyl.

Yeah but seriously - on herps and hygeine - try not to let em poop in your kitchen and always wash your hands . . . and neck if you are going to play with the kingsnake next hehehe.

Heh - ok all you fetishists get ready - everyone else stay away. Turns out our oldest son snapped a pic of the caca. It's nasty so don't follow the link unless the curiosity is really eating you up (and then YOU won't eat for a while).

yeah... that was pretty freakin' nasty... but I think kids can make way nastier messes than that (if you have ever owned(;)) or babysat a sick young child you know what I am talking about)
