    Yet another naming thread...
So I have chosen names for all of my new snakes and the explanations are -

VPI Male - B-Dub was chosen because he is black and white, or B and W, or B-Dub. I liked this because Buffalo Wild Wings, or BWW, is my all-time favorite place to get wings, especially when I was in college, and I call it B-Dubs.

het VPI Female - Vanilla was chosen because she is the only ball that I have with a normal phenotype and vanilla is used to describe things that are plain. She does have a kick butt black back that is about 95% free of any pattern.

Hypo/Orange Ghost Female - Bella was chosen because there is a variety of Orange that is called Bellavida and Earth to Bella is a favorite Incubus song of mine.

Lemonback male - Einstein was chosen because the variety of lemon found for sale most often in grocery stores is called a Eureka lemon, and Eureka made me think of Einstein.

These names are in keeping with my naming method of using a twist on the morph name. My female Cinnie is named Nutmeg, another brown spice. My male Pastel is name Gypsos, the Greek word for gypsum, which is a mineral used in the making of pastel paints. My Spider is named Serine, which the primary protein used in silk making by spiders to wrap prey and egg sacs.

Does anyone else use a similar method for naming, or at least use the same method for all of their names? I know that all of LGrays' snakes have something to do with serpent or snake in their names.

Thats pretty interesting. I dont really name my snakes but I like to name my animals like they are people... But I like how you put some thought into the naming process. I dont really think outside the box like that. Maybe I should start...

Skade got her name because her previous owner likes to use Norse mythology. Skade is referred to as a "cold beauty". Skade was also a hunter. Fitting for her. But most of my animals, if I name them are named after mythology anyhow, so she would probably have wound up with another goddess name.

Ludo is a temporary name, after Ludo from Labyrinth. He's a big guy and I can't afford for him to stick around so he couldn't have one of the typical pet names for the household so I can't get as attached. LOL

My two mojave girls are named after rum: Bacardi and Malibue mojave reminded me of mojitos. I dont know what to call my pastave yet i want to keep the same theme going though.
I also have a spinner that my girlfriend named sandy because it reminded her of the color of beach sand

i've always named my snakes as if they were people. my little female carpet is called "mean helen jorgensen. lately i've an moved to an old school blues singer style as blues is my favourite music. my ball that recently passed was called "left foot louie" and my male pastel is called "crazy legs douglas"

my other pets names have been named as if they wee people in the past but as of late it seems to be getting more obscure. our leopard geckos are "meathook" "turtlepants" and "fruit bat". also we have a border collie called "charlie looselips scissorhands", an aussie shepherd called "peter lemonjello" and a cat called "nigel figgus"

So is the cat's name from Archer? Love all of the names, from the leos to your dogs and snakes.

My animals names are completely random.
I have Titan for my almost 1400g male. I guess i named him that because hes big and strong like the titans were.

Azrael is my het albino boy. Azrael is the archangel of death and my lil boy has tried his hardest to strangle me and my husband lol.

Twizzler my lil mojave boy likes to twist himself into wierd shaped so my husband thought of twizted (were juggalos) so then we came up with Twizzler.

    My furry pets:

I have Edzel. Named after Edzel Dope from the band Dope.

Izzy was supposed to be Isabelle, he was supposed to be female when we got him, but then i noticed his boy parts come in lol.
So it was shortened to Izzy.

I'm having a hard time naming mine right now, lol. But, I usually go by meaning more then anything else. I'm probably looking for something that means 'royal' for my cinnamon, since he was my first. And probably something that means 'beauty' or 'fierce' for the female we just picked up. Since my BPs aren't named yet...I'll go with my furred animals.

Valerio, my Golden Retriever, is named that for the meaning "to be strong". He's very in tune with people's feelings, and when you're feel crappy, he gives you this face and rests it on your lap or chest. He just knows something is wrong. No one could pry him away from someone whose feeling done, not even for food (surprisingly). So, it's like he's letting you lean on him, cry on his shoulder, whatever. He's being strong for you, and letting you know to be strong too.

Thorben's name means Thor's bear somewhere along the line. When we got him, he looked like a little bear, and we knew he would grow massive! He's a big sheepsih dog though. lol. Trying to get him bolden up a bit more.

Jezebel, our cat, is very much a wicked and shameless woman. XD She likes it think she's the princess, and anyone who crosses her (mostly just the dogs) gets a good smack in the face. She's a real...yeah. LOL

My mate's cat is Zoticus. 'Full of life.' Seriously, the cat is like on cat nip 24/7. He hates me though. Absolutely loathes me... :c

figgus is from archer, yes. but i believe the characters first name is "cyril" on the show. we named him nigel and then decided he needed an english last name and so we went with figgus after the archer character.

My bee male is named Rorschach, after Norman Rorschach who created the ink blot tests, because his head looks like an ink blot.
