    diy cage help/resuce/intro lol
    Hi all,
i am new to to the forum so hello now i am new to boas i have had balls for many years off and on i recently move to maine from florida and had to sell off my balls many to a breeder friend of mine there.. now i have gottin back in the hobby with a baby ball het for albino..

so now to why im posting i work for a company the resells forclosed homes i work doing cleaning and repairs before reselling.. i was set to a trailor that had been empty for atleast three months. so i and a coworker went to the home to do a once over . this place was nasty we was there 15 mins and my partner came screaming out of the back room snake snake..
so i went to look and sure enough there was a snake so i looked closer after i had to kick my way to it threw the trash in the way but i got to it it whas kept in a old china closet ..she was a little hissie but not bad..

so i got it out of the cage and put it in clean pillow case took it home have had it in a 55 gal tote for a week.. took it to the vets for a look over has a clean bill of helth just a small swore on the nose from rubbing on the glass...

so i want to build a cage for her but what size should it be.... i was thinking 4x4x8 with plenty of things to climb on and hide in ... i wanna to try a more natual looking habtait for her..
shes about 6 feet long or so but shes a little under whight but she did take a f/t rat with no prob...

Female boas usually need at least a 6' cage. Males usually are fine in a 4'.

Glad to hear you found her and that she is not too far gone. Pics?

Congrats on the new addition! I wish I would find snakes at work, but unfortunately I don't think there will be very many in my office building.

If you have any questions about setting them up, Aaron (The Serpant Merchant on here) is a really good resource.

Nice looking snake! I'd get a water bowl in the tub, looks like she is in shed. Might be too late to avoid a bad shed but worth a :cens0r::cens0r::cens0r::cens0r:.

Did you mean bad spots on her tail? If so, try to remove the old shed from her tail. If left, her tail could fall off
