Most experts recommend against letting your snakes or any other herp close to your mouth. Herps can easily carry salmonella without suffering any effects from it, but we, on the other hand, end up feeling pretty bad from it.

Most "stomach flus" that people get are actually food poisoning, often salmonella.

After the crazy dream I had last night I got Bastian out and gave him kisses...I kiss mine all the time. And I get 'kisses' back. ;)

Ack! That would drive me nuts! I can't stand having my glasses messed with. That's the one serious point of contention I have with my toddler! LOL

Fortunately, it's easy enough to take my glasses off and the snake with them. :)
  • 03-21-2004, 12:18 AM

Sixx does too,...and if i have on my hoop earring, i think he thinks he is part of the circus because he goes through it and pulls it out. he always kissed my face and i have kissed him on the head. Then, it is usually bathtime for me.....i do not let the kids do that, though. He also like to get in my hair, i try to keep him out because i am afraid it will get hung in his scales.

Mine hasn't kissed me yet but if he does it won't bother me.

I have been kissed by worse :) ( Damn, now that is sad)

LOL, Jotay, so have I. :D

Dawn, I'm glad my hoops are small ones when I wear them. I think I'd be traumatized by a snake hanging from my ear! (I've been wary of big earrings since I had a small baby who loved to grab them.) :)

Yes David, you are good looking. Duh. LOL.

I give my babies kisses...some of them hate it, like Caine, but no one else minds it.

I'd be pretty wary putting your lips on reptiles:

Damn, and sharing mousicles with Zephyr was such a strong bonding experience too! Guess that means he can't share a Coke with me, either.

You can do what I do when "sharing" margaritas with neph - just gulp your half down first then let the snake finish it off.
