Coral Glow Killer Bee on eggs
I woke up to this beautiful pile today! To say I'm thrilled is an understatement. This is my last clutch of the year and a great way to end my season for sure.

Very cool. Am I the only one that sees a trend here with the Banada/Coral Glow gene: The prices are going to go from what? three trillion dollars to $500 in one year because of ALL the people working with them?
-
Re: Coral Glow Killer Bee on eggs
congrats Dave if i did my math right these ones should be hatching just before the Phoenix show and hopefully ill be able to see them at the show

I don't think this is true at all. Sure I could see females in the $5-6000 range and males in the $12-15,000 range next year.
And I'm pretty sure there are more than a few of us that would be willing to get into this project at that price range!

Haha. Agreed. Still wanna know what other kinds of epicness those eggs could hold though!

Well, I've seen price lists where triple males with the banana gene are being offered for under $15000, and single banana males offered for WELL under $10000. so you Sir are incorrect.

I've seen pricelists where banana males are being offered for $100.
Saying it doesn't make it true. Who is offering triple gene male bananas for under $15,000 and males for under $10,000? Kingsnake currently has one ad with banana males for $25,000 and a three gene banana male for $35k. This lines up with what they have been going for this season.

Thanks everyone!

Thanks! She was paired with a spinnerblast male. I used a solid breeder that's given me fertile clutches in the past. I wasn't going for a fancy combo. I just wanted eggs, more important then multiple genes is getting a coral glow with penes...

Why is every post of yours so negative? Try being positive on occasion, you'll be happier.

True, I'd be happy if the sire was a normal.

I'm calling BS on this one.

x3. Glad I'm not the only one who noticed that.
Huge congrats on the eggs! And what a lovely pile too! I really think that Banana/Coral balls are a great investment and very rewarding for you. Seeing how long it took Pieds to hit under the $1000 range, I'd say that this morph definitely has viability and security without getting 'overproduced' anytime soon. Especially with you holding onto a beautiful girl like that! :gj:

Please do share these pricelists that you are talking about! Everyone I have seen has females listed at $10,000 for just a Banana, $12,500 or so for Pastel Bananas and going up from there. And I haven't seen a single Banana male listed for anything under $25K.
We will all be waiting for these pricelists you are referring to!:gj:
-
:bow::bow: You are living my dream :gj:
Can't wait to see what peeps out, crossing my fingers for some good odds.
-
You know, I think I SAW that female for sale a few years ago at a show, I can't remember where, either Anaheim or Mesa. I remember walking away, shaking my head, because she blew everything else for sale that year clear out of the water.
It's kind of neat seeing her as an adult now, on eggs.
-
Oh my god she's beautiful! Thats one heck of a clutch. No real way to walk our of that one dissapointed :D
Also, mykee. Ive said it once Ill say it again. Youre a DOWNER. Ive never seen you type a nice word about anything, like at all. Not trying to gang up on you but jesus youve just become this condescending troll.

Dave, you and I know better. In fact, ALL of the bigger breeders and those that have been around for years that have access to wholesale price lists from the U.S. know better.
Not going to let the "secret" out, (I have a great deal of respect for both you and what you're doing for the hobby) but I know what bananas are really selling for. For that reason, I wouldn't touch bananas with a ten foot pole. The guys (like Dave) who have amazing double, triple and maybe even quad banana projects going on and is still selling banana stuff retail, good for him, but with what they're selling for wholesale, is a wonderful indication that the banana market is about to bottom out.
As for the "regular" breeder (no offense, 99% of you guys) getting access to these higher end breeder price lists, probably not going to happen.
Josh; you keep looking on Kingsnake for your prices, and you'll pay retail for everything. With just over 100 posts here, I'm guessing you're very new to the hobby and maybe not even breeding yet. I forgive your ignorance.
If you're "in the know" (I know, I'm using a tonne of parentheses and quotes, sorry) and have the right connections, you can get banana stuff (or ANY morph for that matter) for **% the advertised "retail" price.
The general newbie breeder group would be floored to see the prices on these wholesale lists. Of anything. Floored.

Perhaps not here, as it is de-railing this thread and distracting away from the topic at hand, but... I'd love to see you post a screenshot or two of these pricelists which you have access to. Of course, blur the obvious information to protect the seller and ensure you aren't dragging them into this, but I'd love to see what kind of 'special' prices you have access to. As it is, you talk down to a lot of people and tend to act like you know what's best. I can respect experience, but there are times I'd love to see someone back up their claims in addition to just telling us the information they have. As you can imagine, people on the internet can make any sort of claim due to the nature of the internet. If what you say is true, feel free to add a grain of truth to your claim by showing us some of the 'inside' stuff you have access to.
By blurring the person's information, we won't be able to contact them about these prices. However, at least we would see what it is you're referring to.
And if you can't do that, then unfortunately, I'm going to have to continue taking what you're saying with a large grain of salt. It is the internet, after all. :)

If you were meant to be on the mailing list to get these wholesale lists, you would have one already.
I simply will not post a list for the general public to see, sorry.
You guys can believe of me what you want, but I'm not going to jeopardize my 10+ year business relationships with these breeders just so you can all have a peek.
Believe what you want and enjoy paying retail.

I do not breed, therefore I do not need access to the list. So that is fine with me.
I will continue to take what you say with a grain of salt :) It was merely a curiosity, and wondering if you could back up your claims.

You know that cowboy hat on the door trick so your room mates dont walk into your room while private things are happening? I think im going to do that, but with topics, and images of troll faces in the first post so mykee knows his posts are unwelcome = / Immature? Absolutely. Satisfying to know he see's troll faces and knows I dont like him? Totally worth it.

Originally, I was just going to bluntly tell you what everyone is thinking, but not saying - you're an :cens0r::cens0r::cens0r::cens0r::cens0r::cens0r::cens0r:. But, I'm going to try and give you the benefit of the doubt.
Let me translate what you just said for you so that you can hear how you come off to other people - "I'm going to act like an :cens0r::cens0r::cens0r::cens0r::cens0r::cens0r::cens0r:, degrade other people's projects, spew a lot of information and then not give any evidence to back it up."
Does that seem like the type of person you want to be associated with? I'm just trying to get you to see the way other people see you. Now, if you don't care how other people see you, then by all means, continue. It's not my reputation, so I'm not THAT worried about it. Just thought I'd try and help.

I make spelling errors now and again, but my grasp of the english lanuage, grammer and phrasing is actually very on point mykee. You are the one that doesnt seem to understand what im saying, and I have no problems with anyone else so let me spell it out for you just for clarification. If you see a troll face on the first post of a topic that I start, take that as a sign I dont give a rats behind what you have to say and would very much so prefer that you do not post a response inside of said thread. Because you are a negative nancy, and codescend to everyone you interact with. There you have it. I dont think I can dumb it down any more than that. If you still dont understand me then Im suprised you can type.
