    Small snake suggestion?
Hi - new member. I've had a corn snake for 12 years and recently acquired a GTP and ball python. I have room for just one more, in my office, but fairly space constrained... Probably a 2x2 cage. What's a suggestion for a smaller colubrid that won't exceed 2-3' at full adult size?

    Thanks,
    Brian:)

You could get a kingsnake or a milksnake they stay a little smaller than kings...specially Pueblans....or a garter snake...they don't get very big if I'm not mistaken

Thanks - actually sand boa is my favorite idea out of all these! All great suggestions though. I assumed only a colubrid would be <3 ft, so I am intrigued by the sand boa idea. Not sure about hognoses... Call me shallow but they are just a little too goofy looking for me (and maybe I'd be too goofy looking for them).

Well, since non-colubrids are allowed now, check out the Antaresia genus...

Office, DO you want to see the animal ? If so a sand boa is out..Replace that with a rosy boa of some sort for a visual animal..I too give Hognose the vote for colubrid shallow Hal..:D If you want small and like watching the activity of the animal..Theres the 2 that will best suit you and they both come in array of colors or patterns..I'd almost bet $ that you enjoy the corns activity better than the pet rock/ball python..LOL..
BTW as far as a facial goes hogs are much less gooooofy looking than the sandboas..:D

Thanks Tim. I am coming around a little to the hognose idea... they do have an odd charm, like a pug. Just to clarify, it's my home office, where I spend time in the evening as well as during the day. Thanks!
