Jungle
I know, I know, there's been a few threads asking if this is a morph or not. I know it hasn't been proven genetic, but it still doesn't keep me from wanting to snag him up and try :D

Too bad they want $500 for him. His pattern is so wacked out, wish I had taken more pics when I was holding him  I'm sure he'll still be there in a week or two when we do an outing again to the local shops...Maybe I'll snap a few then :)

looks nice and would throw to a normal female for the first season. But would not spend 500 dollars on him.

This, 500 bucks is a lot to pay when he could just be a heavy patterned normal or something.
-
Agreed. That's why he's not coming home with me :P Thought about hitting the store when the boss man was there and offering him $100 when he gets tired of feeding it / it taking up room *shrug*

He looks cool, but I wouldn't pay $500 for him, or even close. There are so many other nicer snakes you could buy for that $.

His pattern is really cool! I personally wouldn't pay $500 for something that is unproven though!

His appearance is due to incubation and won't be genetic. So I can save you the $500, it's definitely a normal.

Not to burst your bubble, but Ben Renick had/has a genetic jungle available. I know she doesn't look the same but I wanted to point it out because I'm going to be working with my jungle boy in the near future to see if he proves out. Ya never know, if I was in the money I'd like to get that one even if I was just paying for a pretty normal. :)

Ben Renick's jungle is definitely different than this snake. It's actually interesting because these "classic jungles" which are the result of incubation to give them this look, there are actually markers that easily identify them. Jungle types out there can have the same look and definitely be genetic if you know what to look for. It's unfortunate that these unproven jungles have given a bad rep on genetic jungles. People tend to assume just because you refer to it as a jungle means its probably not genetic. Absolutely not the case. Same can be said for harlequin types, but if you know the difference between a genetic harlequin and one that is the result of incubation, it's pretty easy to eliminate the non-genetic types.

Do elaborate?
I have never heard of incubation influencing pattern.

I would be interested in an elaboration of this, personally. What are the easily identifiable markers to look for in regards to incubation issue vs possible genetic? As I am going to be in the market for a few normal females in the near future, this would be an awesome tidbit of knowledge to have under my belt :) Thanks MLR! Btw, your prospects tempt me so...blast it..need more snake money! :D

It's really something difficult to explain in writing. I'll be doing more shows on herp nation with josh baity from royally addicted, and i'll be sure to discuss this effect from incubation the next time I'm on so everyone can listen.

Much appreciated! I'll be sure to keep an eye out for it :)
