    Firefox for Android
I just downloaded firefox on my phone, and I'm not sure if I like it. Typing in the comment boxes and making a post is a little wacky, atleast here on bp.net.

Anybody else use it? What are you thoughts on it?

I have it, but I find my self using the default browser more often. Videos seems want to instantly download with Firefox verse open with the video player which I didn't like. I'm not sure if I will keep using it.

I use it for what little mobile browsing I do. I like Firefox over the standard android browser personally, but I really don't do much more than google searches on my phone. I have tried to watch videos before and Firefox does automatically download the video to your phone rather than open it, but I personally prefer that. IT makes the video available to watch offline and without the stop/start and lag that can happen when streaming over slow connections...

I use TapaTalk to get on bp.net from my phone...

    This literally made me lol

I didn't like firefox for android when I tired it. When i had gingerbread, I used dolphin, it uses webkit like chrome. Supports flash which is nice (laugh a little more at apple).

On icecream i just use the stock browser, it's quick and works. why fix whats not broke

If you're on icecream or higher, I hear chrome beta works great, I actually never bothered to try it, I also had good experiences with Opera.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I uninstalled the Firefox because making posts, updating my status, etc., drove me crazy. I couldn't even see what I was typing because the line would continue to go off screen, if that makes sense. My browser on my phone is ok, but sometimes it takes for freakin ever to get videos to play and a lot of the time it freezes up on me. So I was just looking around for what other browsers I might be able to use. I've heard of Opera, so maybe I'll try that one and see how it works for me. Thanks again :)

Oh, and Mike......lmao at your iPhone comment!

    All this iphone hatred...

Im not even trying to be funny, i really like my iphone lol. What do ya'll have that is so much nicer? I mean besides bigger screens and the ability to use SD memory cards i dont know any other cons to the iphone really. Mine is a 32gb so thats plenty of memory and the screen is a bit smaller than other phones but i never watch movies on it so i dont really need anything bigger. My brother recently let his go through the wash and with some tlc (and help from my e-guru Aaron lol) we got it working again. I'd say theyre pretty solid phones.

Im due for an upgrade real soon and will probably get the iphone 5, unless someone convinces me otherwise lol.

The one major thing that stopped me from getting an iPhone was that if anything happened to the phone, I have to actually go to an Apple store, and the closest one to me is about an hour away. Now I want a Galaxy 3 :D

I currently have an HTC Inspire. I love HTC's but I honestly have beat the crap out of this phone. Probably why it doesn't work right half the time....

apple in general has a knack for spreading mis information about how great they are, when a lot of things are just reused ideas with an "i" put in front of them and painted white.

lets go through the "new things" in iOS 5
Notification Center All your alerts. All in one place. - my android did this in gingerbread and more likely before that, you kidding me?
iPad and iPod touch join the conversation. - like skype but doesn't do as much?
Newsstand A custom newsstand for all your subscriptions. - like pocket mags and all other newsstand type of things?
Reminders A better way to do to-dos. - like checkmarks?
Twitter Integrated right into iOS 5. - was it hard to tweet before? I honestly don't know, never used it.
Camera Capture the moment at a moment’s notice. - droid already does this and custom lock screens did it way before that.
Photos Enhanced photo enhancements. - droid already does it
    Safari - lol!
PC Free Independence for all iOS devices. again, are u kidding me? you couldn't before hand?

so theres all the main points on apples website. looks like you got a lot to look forward to. :8:

I could through all the siri vs google now, os comparison, apples lawsuits, things apple has stolen, and general iphone mishaps. you can google most of that.

also i herd you can not use a mp3 for a ringtone? is that true?

HTC Incredible 2 here. I love it. I went in wanting an iPhone, and they guy talked me out of it. Glad he did. I know there are faster phones, but I love this one. Dependable, user friendly. Couldn't live without SD card ability. I have tons of pictures on here and super easy to just plug my card in at target and get whatever pictures. Plus I have tons of music on it. And it doesn't have to be itunes. It can be my cds, downloaded from Amazon, whatever. Plus, like Heather said, if you have a problem, you have to make an appointment with and Apple store. :( But, lol, I still don't know what fire fox is....:p

I LOOOVE my Samsung Galaxy S2. Not only does it run great, but it looks sleek as anything. :) (I got the white version) Since I see everyone with that little "Tapatalk" notice under their posts I thought I'd download it, but it costs money. :( The normal web browser works just fine for me though.

I honestly only got like half of that lol. I dont use alot of that stuff, at least i dont think i do haha.

I use FB, tapatalk (for here), take pictures, safari to look stuff up, the maps for directions, pandora and thats pretty much it. I use my phone alot, but not for a really wide variety of things.

Heather- ive seen stuff about the galaxy s3 and my friend got one. Theyre pretty neat!

I went through 3 of the original Incredible due to MFG defects, not even use. For that reason I've stayed away from any HTC product, but I've recommended Samsung phones to many people and never had any complaints about them, although I currently have an LG phone for over a year which has been pretty solid so far.

Funny how phones are. We have never had a good experience with Samsung, or Motorola ( motorola the worst ever!). LG, and HTC, great. :)

action script, flex, its far from discontinued, what are you even talking about? it's not you can't run flash on it, apple just is dead set against adding any support for it. so developers have to do it all and it doesn't run as efficiently as it can.

ill play this game tethering, unapproved apps, systems spec well beyond the iphone, google now
    iphone has what?

    As in Adobe discontinued it.

    thats just a browser plugin....

last time i checked, you had to jailbreak it to use an unapproved app and apple was still removing every tethering app on the market. and your right to a point on how its utilized, but thats another point to android....

Tethering is built into iOS so you don't need any apps, Jailbreakinf is easy and apple doesn't care if you do it.

In all reality the 2 operating systems are nearly identical there are parts of both that I like and dislike. I prefer iOS since it is streamlined and in my opinion more functional for what I need in a phone.

you mean the hotspot pay-monthy-to-use tethering that the phone you bought already has the capability of doing? thats only wi-fi hotspot tethering, wheres the usb tethering, the faster method? or if you prefer the wi-fi tethering, why are you paying monthly for it? you're not a starbucks.

    apple doesn't care? http://www.wired.com/images_blogs/th...response-1.pdf
apple claimed it was unlawful, apple got told they couldn't do anything about it, so then they said fine, it voids you're warranty. thats pretty far from not caring.

if you think the phone is best for you, thats great. to claim a flash browser plugin was the only reason to get a droid....?

in the meantime, here's some good laughs. skip to 3:15 for the fun.
