    Rack Question
Would it be ok if I put two same size/weight/sex ball python in the same tub (41qt.)? For example, I have a 300g female pastel and a 250g female pastel in separate tubs and if I could put them together, I could get one more ball python (there's one I like right now).

    Would it be ok?
    Maybe????
    Would I?
    No!
Why are you keeping lightweights in breeder tubs anyway?

Housing snakes together isn't a good idea no matter what the cage.

I wouldnt reccommend it unless you have alot of experience.

    Re: Rack Question
From what I have read its not something I would feel comfortable doing. I like to be able to monitor health and behaviors for each individual snake. I think housing two together would create stress.

Simple, buy another rack then buy the new addition

I dont have any personal experience with it, but i know several people who keep smaller snakes together in the same tub using a divider to seperate them.

I've used divided and housed two without a divider. Now that i been keeping for 15+ years i would say that separate tubs are the way to go. but in a pinch put a divider in the tub but be ready to upgrade.

    Re: Rack Question
Thanks for your input. I'm going to get another rack and house them separately.

you could whip up a quick qt tub setup.....tub, heat pad, rheostat, water bowl, and hides. New additions straight into your rack is asking for trouble.

I wouldnt recommend putting 2 in same tub. I dont know your exact setup but remember to quarantine new addition away from others. Good luck with the new one, im up to three balls myself now.

yeah i would just set up a QT area for the new addition if its a baby i know my walmart sells this melamene shelf thingy ( i know great details right) for like 12 bucks that i have used to house new pick ups in 6q tubs fit perfect in it and just place a small heat pad under it with a stat and your good to go
