My best friend is missing

A family friend has been watching my dog for me since I can't keep him where I have been staying. I stopped by to pick him up tonight only to learn he has been missing since roughly 3pm. He's not a wanderer and never goes far so I don't know what happened. It's too dark to go looking for a black dog right now, but if you could keep him and me in your prayers I would greatly appreciate it. He's my best friend and the best dog I have ever had. I have posted a craigslist ad offering a reward, called the local police and emailed the local humane society (they are closed for the night). The people he has been staying with went and knocked on everyone in the neighborhoods door. I don't know what else I can do, tomorrow we are going into the woods to look for him. I hope he turns up soon. I hate myself right now because the collar he's wearing doesn't have his tags on it. :tears:

Thank you. I have tried Criagslist and I can't for the life of me figure out how to post on Petfinder. I've been posting every where I can think of. I feel really horrible now because it's raining pretty hard right now. :tears:

So sorry about your dog. I hope you find him. My oldest dog got out of her collar the other night when we had her out to potty. She took off and we haven't seen her since :( I'm checking the pounds and lost and founds.

I have some great news. This morning as we were driving over to go search the woods I saw him standing in a neighbor's yard. He was soaking wet, covered in prickers and smelt like fish but he was just fine. I got lots of doggie kisses and a wet hug. I am so happy he came back.
