Re: Want to share my logo
Thanks for the comments everyone. I did think about king kong being trademarked and did do research regarding that very thing. There is quite a bit of controversy as to whom even owns the king kong name and in the end I decided that I just don't think that Universal Studios is going to come after a guy with a small scale snake breeding business. And if they do I will simply change it, i'm not too worried about it.

Started with a hand drawn concept and sent it to my brother in Cali who does this sorta stuff for his career. He worked it over in his program, not sure what he uses, and we collaborated back and forth through email and phone making changes as needed. Once we were both satisfied with the kong and snake, I drew the king kong constrictors font by hand, sent it to him through email and he worked that over in his program adding color and shading, setting everything up with proper positioning etc. Lots of back and forth emails and phone calls to get to the final product. I could not be happier with the outcome. I have big plans with it. Business cards, a big 6 foot banner for when I set up at shows, I want to have it in my videos and in all of my snake pics too. The usual stuff one does with a logo I guess but big plans for me anyways.

I was picking up business cards at the Tinley Park show to get some ideas and came across ones that Ben Renick had. His are printed on plastic and are transparant. It has a frosted texture to it and his logo and lettering is in a brownish color. Very cool and stood out among the rest for sure.
Anyways, I think I'm going to go the same route, but I want to keep my logo in color and I might entertain the idea of having the cards completely clear instead of the frosted finish. Thanks for checking out my logo everyone. I appreciate your time.

I loved his cards! They were very cool. I asked them where they printed them and they said some local place.

Yeah I think it's worth is. I had some half size cards made and I really like them. Much different than a regular business card.
