    NARBC Arlington...Who can't sleep tonight?
Going to the NARBC show tomorrow with my girlfriend who is also a kind of reptile nerd. Mostly we are going to look around and just spend the day together (we are driving the 4 hours up from Houston)

Anyways...I'm so excited to be going to this expo which trumps any of the ETHS expos we've had here in Houston that....I'm finding it hard to fall asleep.

    I'm such a dork lol.

We are tight on money so as much as I'd love to pick up a Pewter Male...I may end up only coming back with a Pacman Frog because I think they are pretty cool and I'd like to have one. Maybe I could walk around with a bucket tomorrow and ask for donations LOL. Yeah...I don't think that would go over well.

Anyways...time to try to go back to sleep! :rolleye2:

I keep debating with myself as to whether I should go with our move so close. Plus my sleep schedule is all weird now. :(

Stuck in Afghanistan myself, but a friend of mine named Sam works for BHB and is at the show. If you see her tell her that I said hi from Afghanistan (even though we're messaging on FB through her phone)! It would just be cool to have someone tell her hi for me that I'm also in touch with from here! I'm wierd, I know. LOL

It's Bruce. She sent me a picture of a black eyed lucy since she knows that I love them and am working towards one myself with the lemonback morph. Thanks!

Well. Even though I was tight on money I pulled the trigger on a 66gram pewter male.

Bruce hopefully someone today at the expo can tell Sam from BHB "hi" for you. I was just there for the show Saturday since I live in Houston (4 hrs away) and made it a day trip to drive up there with my GF.

Sam was really fun to talk to. I got the time to chat with each of them there for a good while. Apparently I need to send Chewie a bottle of mead (a friend of mine brew) so he can try it and get drunk. Lol!

I also am driving up from Houston. We drove up yesterday to spend the day with my sister who goes to school in Denton. Bruce, I'll be sure to tell her hello

Bruce, I got a chance to talk to Sam and Chewie. It was nice! They both are really nice. We talked about the picture she sent you. I'll post a picture of us (Sam, Chewy, Brian, and I) and my pickups when I get home. I'm driving back to Houston now.

Awesome. That was a nice thing to do for Bruce!

Bruce. Sorry you couldn't be there. Thanks for your military service. We try our best to help out as we can while you're away from your family for the rest of us!

I really didnt take pictures of the show. I just brought my camera along because I saw they would be there and I wanted to get a picture with Brian. It was a great show and when the show is back in February I hope to have a much larger budget to expand my collection significantly!

I got my first pastel almost a year ago...now I have 2...and I hope to double that in about 6 months from now. At this exponential rate I'll need to get a huge steel building and a million or so racks! Like the motto is around here "you can't stop at just one!"

I also want to thank you, Bruce, for your service. Even though you couldn't be at the expo, you are doing so much more for our country and I personally thank you for that! Talking to Sam was the least I could do!

I didn't get many pictures of the expo...I was too busy looking at all the beautiful snakes! I did, however, get a picture of the BHB team:

At the expo I picked up a spider female (Charlotte), a anery het amel corn snake male (Travis), and an unknown female (though she was sold to me as a male). I'll post pictures of them in a new thread.

snakehobbyist, glad you had a great time. Saw your post about the male who turned out to be a shemale! What luck!

Love the Spider! A female spider is next on my list with hopes to make some pewter bees with my sterling! Or Instead of a spider, I could get a Bumblebee to expand the probabilities of getting really cool morphs!

You can always buy a bee from me :D unless of course you need her ASAP. xD My females won't be ready to breed until at least next fall.

I might have to do that! That or hit up Brian again haha!

I don't need her ASAP...my male is only 66 grams as of getting him home last night. He gulped down a rat pinky for me today so I'm already off to a good start with him!

WOW! I'm impressed! I'm going to attempt, keyword attempt to feed all my new babies tomorrow. I bought a live mouse pinky in case one of the corns doesn't eat F/T for me and I don't want it to die. If the corns refuse, I might cull and freeze it so it doesn't go to waste. I also have a rodent order coming in on Wednesday or Thursday. However, my normal needs to eat on Tuesday and I'm out of rat pinkies for her. So I might have to stop and pick some up from Reptile Select. If I do, I can get some for my new girl.

You guys rock! Thanks for telling her hi. She's been sending me pictures now that they are back on the road headed home so between those and all of the ones you guys have posted I can almost feel like I was there! The best one is one that she took of a mutual friend's baby wearing Sams pink cowboy hat and snakebytes onsie. It is awesome. LOL Can't wait to see all the rest of the pictures.
