Not going to believe this

I bred to pastels together and got nothing but pastels and supers out of seven eggs once they all come out I'll post pics...talk about beating the odds!! Woohoo!

Such haters and skeptics...lol...I'll prove it once they quit being shy and get their butts out of the eggs. By the way how long does it usually take them to absorb the placenta and come out?

Mine took about a day to absorb the yolk

Well my perfect clutch of 7 went to 3 perfect babies. I buried 3 supers and one pastel. I have one super and two pastels left. They are thriving. One is completely out of the egg and the other two are finishing up their yolk! I didn't want to post pictures of my beautiful dead babies but will post pics of the three as soon as they all come ally the way out!

Two had twisted umbilical cords and two died in the egg(unsure). I am happy I have the three left that I do without everyone probably would have lost the entire clutch.

I feel your pain having just lost a pewter het clown in the egg and a gorgeous lesser do to the same reason, twisted umbilical.

EDIT: Just read about your losses. I hate to see that happen to anyone. Hopefully next time will be better.

That's a real bummer, my condolences. I'm glad you still have 3 that are doing well, looking forward to those baby pics!
