What should I do with this twin??
So for those of you who remember I ended up with two sets of twins in my second clutch. The one is super tiny at about 12 grams, I was wondering if it would be ok to assist feed the snake every 4-5 days? Pinkies are about all he can handle and I had to assist feed once already. He is way too small to not eat. What do you guys think?

Have you posted any pictures? I'm really curious to see what a 12 gram BP looks like. Best of luck with the little one and your plan sounds like it should work.

If the pinkie works, it works. If not, I know they make little syringes that you plop a pinky in and when you push the plunger, pinkie milkshake comes out. I'm not sure if anyone ever uses them for BPs, though...

Are you assisting because he isn't willing to eat on his own? Make sure you are giving him the opportunity to feed himself each time before assisting, or else you could just be making life harder for yourself and him.

Also, do you mean rat pinkies or mouse pinkies? A 4-gram baby colubrid can take a mouse pinky, so start him with pinky/fuzzy mice until he can take rat pinks, if you aren't already.

Well he is super thin and I just want to get him started on eating mouse pinks. I do offer it live before I assist and when he starts taking off I will gradually offer bigger.

Holy buh-jeebus, that thing is tiny! Best of luck getting some size on it and also on getting it to eat on its own, and thanks for sharing the pictures.

Other than having to assist feed is it doing fine otherwise?
