Thanks :D I had an awesome time at the show. Didn't seem as busy as last year, but we got there late. I love my girl! I was stoked to find her.

What do femal pastel lessers normally go for?

Nice choice for your first BP! Who'd you get her from?

Gulf coast reptiles. I was torn between this girl and another gorgeous girl from joe Ellis. I decided on her because of her being a 2 gene and I love her little swirly pattern on her back. I wasn't expecting to find a 2 gene lesser in my price range. I'm so happy :D and my hubby, (who was anti snake a month ago) almost bought a dinker boy we saw. He's a big fan of blk pastels now too. Looks like he'll be picking out the boyfriend for this girl in a year or so :D

Thanks guys and gals :D I'm totally in love. Leaving her alone until she eats a few times is going to be even harder than waiting for the show to buy a snake! Must....resist.. lol

I'm happy with what I paid for her, but because my brain is evil...how much do pastel lesser girls go for usually? I'm on my phone and trying to browse fauna and KS is irritating to say the least.

BEAUTIFUL girl you've got there! Love her pattern and how her yellows pop and how rich they aren't without being "dirty" from the pastel influence. I bought an unrelated 1.1 pair of black pastel 100% het VPI axanthics from Gulf Coast Reptiles earlier this year and couldn't be happier with their service or their animals; absolutely outstanding quality and customer service was top notch. I saw that you've asked twice about the price for a pastel lesser; I'm sorry but I can't offer any insight into what a "normal" price would be for that morph. I paid $900.00 for my pastel butter female as a 2011 hatchling, so I'm not sure on what pastel lessers would run as a general rule. Butter/lesser...I know there's some debate as to whether they're the same morph or not but anyway, if that helps any as far as a baseline price for what you paid for your girl, great. Maybe someone with an actual pastel lesser will chime in. Congratulations on your pickup; she's a stunner! :gj:

Here's my girl with a little weight on her:

Thank you! I appreciate your info on your 2011 purchase. I paid $375 for her, and I think it was a great price. Someone might chime in saying they are $350 or something, but I'm happy with my girl :D other lesser pastels at the show seemed to be upwards of $550. Wasn't sure if that was norm or what I paid was closer to norm.

WOW! For that price and a two-gene animal, I'd have snatched her up, especially with her coloration and pattern! I've seen lessers, as in single gene lessers, hold the pastel for $250 - $450, depending on sex, age and who's selling them. That's a great price, in my opinion, and she's a great looking girl regardless.

Lol that's what I thought, but being new I figured I was wrong. I was so nervous walking around looking at other lessers ..I just wanted to run back and buy her. After swiftly searching the rest of the ttables I beelined it back.

Your girl is gorgeous! I hope mine looks as good as yours when she's bigger :D

Thanks! Their vanillas were amazing! They seemed to be very nice and had great prices and even better looking snakes.

^ Thank you! That's Ms. Paula Deen...for the butter gene, lol! She's a pig but a complete sweetheart. I have big plans for her and my vanilla mojave boy once she gets up to size. I'd say you made a heck of a purchase for a "newb" and got a very nice animal at a heck of a price! Chris and Sheila are great to deal with and their animals are top-notch, yours being no exception to that rule. Congrats again on your pickup.

Very nice, she's a great looking snake !!! I was hoping to find a big lesser female, sadly, I left the show with nothing this year :( I Just couldn't find the right snake at the right price...There were a bunch of nice people vending though and I had a blast..

Very nice 2 gene pick-up and you did great on the price- especially for a female:gj:

I saw some very nice 0.1 Pastel Lessers with some weight on them, but for the additional asking price I would not mind feeding a hatchling for a year.
