I am getting promoted!

I guess the Navy will promote anyone nowadays.... I reckon it is Lieutenant Commander select now!

I am pretty stoked and I should put it on before the end of the year.

You can look up 2012 army navy pay grades via Google. The pay is different depending on ranks

Our pay scale is published each year.

It pretty much depends on the rank/time in service is how much you get paid monthly. So if you knew how long he has been in and he's promotion rank (0-4 I believe) you could roughly figure out the pay.

The numbers on the chart are monthly, before tax. We also get a food and housing allowance that is not taxed.

Congrats sir! I am looking at pinning my O-3 in just over a year's time. I am excited for the pay raise but not the increased levels of responsibility, although I'm sure I'll do just fine.
