This morning while I was chatting with Judy on AIM, my new poss het albinos arrived! I was so relieved to have them here safely I could breathe right again.
Here they are together in their shipping container:

Here's what the shy guy looks like out of the container:

And here's his bolder clutchmate:

Now I just have to figure out what names suit them ... :D

They're heeeeere
Oh, and I nearly forgot: I hereby declare the local field-herping season open. Driving home through the swamp tonight I was serenaded by the tree frogs. :)

Congrats on the new babies

Thank you! Aren't they adorable?

Those are so awesome! So, you're going to be trying your hand at luck with some albinos (and piebalds?), eh? Best of luck to you!

please visit my album
That's the plan, but I got them for a great price, so at any rate it's a win-win situation. And the guy I got them from gets his first feedback on the BOI and it's positive, so it's good for him, too. The poss het piebald isn't actually mine, he's my roommate's, but we will be trying to breed as a team even though we won't be living together next season. I hope your wish for luck is effective, because I could really use some about now.
PS - They are awesome little guys, aren't they? They're little bitty though.
-
That IS itty bitty! Just look at that cute tiny ball in the palm of your hand! Congrats again!

Congrat's Marla.....Great looking herps.

Thank you! I can't wait (well, I can and will but I'm tempted) until I can get them out and learn their personalities. It was obvious in the first few minutes that one was much shyer than the other.

They look so freaking cute balled up. Reminds me of when my two arrived. The mailman was being all rough with the box, I was like "Dude, there are pythons in there be gentle!" So he stuck around out of curiousity and to make sure they were alright. He was scared but thought they were cool.
So you bought two het males?
-
Yikes! I'm glad the mailman was concerned enough to make sure they were okay. My box had 3 or 4 "Fragile" labels on it and my shipping manager brought it to me like it was full of eggs and glass. :) And yep, two poss het males from 100%x100%. I know I'm male-heavy at the moment but I hope to start fixing that in a few months. I didn't need two but I figured it doubled my odds of having one be an actual het. Now if I can just get Rick to sell me a 100% het female at a bargain price, I'll be set. :D ;)

Marla they are so darn cute!
Congrats on the new babies! :)

Thanks! I'm excited to have them. :)

Beautiful, Marla! Our two new ones are supposedly possible het albinos as well. Now that we know Suki is male, we're thinking of adding another female, so if you find any great bargain prices, let us know!

Cool, I didn't know yours were possible hets as well. There may be a project in the future somewhere. :) The only reputable vendor I know of right now with females is Alex Hue, and I'm pretty sure his are all hatchlings. If you are looking to breed, you might do what I intend to and keep an eye on the classifieds once breeding season is over and people start planning their next projects and trying to pick up higher-dollar hatchlings. I figure April to August is the most likely time to pick up adult or near-adult females that aren't recent wc, and that may be a month longer than is realistic.
