    Shedding with scars??
I was looking on Craigslist the other day. There was an albino, (which is on my wish list) but she has scars all over. The guy said the previous owner had let a mouse get to her. It looks all healed, but I am curious if anyone has a snake with scars like that, do they shed ok? Or will she have problems shedding? Also, will the scars ever go completely away after several sheds? Thanks. :)

I think I read on here before that the snake shouldn't have a problem shedding and that the scars would slowly disappear or become near invisible over time. :)

We have a big female with a couple scars. They haven't gone away or reduced and she always has a weird/hard time with her shed in the areas they're in.

Do you have any pictures of the scars/scar area you can post, so I could compare to the one I am looking at? This poor girl has them all over. Thanks. :)

My Pastel Lesser had a bad experience with a rat pretty recently, and while the scabs have mostly fallen off, the new scales are very white. Only time will tell if they will ever heal up normal. I will say this though, With the wounds being fairly fresh, he shed perfectly.

Thank you! This little girl I am toying with getting has TONS of those. I can't even imagine what she looked like when it happened to her. Poor thing. :(

That's so sad. Does the person you're planning on getting her from having anything to say about her shedding?

I have an old rescue carpet python with rat scars and burn scars everywhere, I've had her for about 5 years and she had always had perfect sheds even where the scars are. They haven't faded at all though, some are white while others look like the pics from above post.

I decided against her. The guy wants way too much for her. I felt so bad though, I really wanted to get her. But I could buy the albino of my choice, from a hatchling for what this joker wants. Poor baby. :(

She is also very thin. When I first asked him he said, no she didn't have parasites or anything. Once he sent pictures and I asked again, he said no she had never been checked. She was supposedly a 2010 weighing 600 grams. I just felt so bad for her.
