My normal ball

Just wanted to share some pics of my male BP. I'm guessing he's about 2 feet long or maybe a little bit longer. Bought him in June last year. I just learned about the wall method for measuring, but he's in shed and mighty grumpy right now. When he's done shedding and comes out of his hide, I'll get an exact measurement. Was a bit nippy when smaller (almost looks like a wannabe rattler in the last pic). He's calmed down alot.

Thanks for the comments. He just finished his shed about 1/2 hour ago, so I took him out and measured him. He is exactly 27"

Hehe, I got one who I call Runt that just got measured at 27", only he/she was born mid July 2003

Well I bought him in June of '03 and I assume he was about a month old at that time. That picture of him in my hand when he was small was taken in July 2003, so I don't think he was more than 2 months old then. He's grown over 10" in the 8-9 months I've had him. Is that normal, or should he be bigger?

I finally had him sexed for the first time a couple of weeks ago by the breeder who sold me my boa. He guessed female just by looking because of how thick he is, but found out it was a male when he did the probing. Needless to say, he doesn't have any of the common BP feeding problems ::whew::

My mistake, I thought he was older. Whoops.
