You guys were right
So today I picked up my first ball python - a 4 year old normal male I adopted from a friend of a friend who needed to rehome him away from her cats - and I am already in love. He may be a normal, but I think he's super adorable and he's very friendly and curious about everything.
And of course, now I want more ball pythons. You guys were right, they are very addicting. :D
It's going to have to wait until I move somewhere with more space, but I definitely see more ball pythons in my future. I'm already making a list of morphs that I want, and of course they're all the fancy expensive ones, haha :)
Anyway, I wanted to thank you all again for all of the great info this site has given me. Thanks to you all, I was well prepared to bring my new guy home.

Re: You guys were right
I am going to take a screen shot of your post to capture your collection signature at the bottom, that way in a year or so we can all smile at how it takes up a whole page :)

away from her cats ?? is the snake allergic lol

Didn't happen without pictures..............:D

ExotixTowing - Apparently the cats were starting to harass the snake a lot, like batting at the cage and sitting on top of the cage, and the gal who owned him was afraid he was getting really stressed out plus she was concerned the cats might be able to undo the cage clips and injure the snake. I'm not sure how true any of that is, but I can tell you that the snake's husbandry was less than ideal, so I was happy to rehome him in any case.
As for pictures, I shall post some later, once I get home :)

Hah all four of our cats are terrified of poor baby 300 gram Aradia, as well as the 65+ pound German Shepherd and 60 pound Golden Retriever. I know who runs the house and it's nobody with legs ;D Glad you got him out of a less-than-ideal situation and yes, PICS!

The BP bug bites fast :) Congrats on the new addiction!

Here's a pic of me and Onyx. He was moving all over the place, so it was a bit hard to get a photo, but this one turned out ok :)

Thanks for getting the picture up. For less than ideal husbandry conditions he looks healthy enough, but good for you for taking him in!
