Summer 2012

How is everybody's summer going? What fun things did you do? What fun things are you going to do?

Work, work, and work. Oh yea ive also been working.

This summer has been so boring. My family goes to NC for a few weeks every summer for vaca, but i didnt get to go this year bc of work.

It's too HOT to do anything. :P

Our summer is officially over. School starts tomorrow. I homeschool, though, so technically we can still do fun stuff if we want to with no regard to what the school system is doing. I love it and am planning a beach trip in a few weeks.

Between working doubles 6 days a week to our disappointing ball python season to our vacation from heck, it hasn't been that great our way. Luckily we are moving into our new home soon, so hopefully this fall and winter will be better.

Summer is a huge season for the boat industry, so I work a lot more during the summer than any other time of the year. Other than nice photo opportunities with the snakes and some nice day trips around the San Juans, we don't do anything too big. I'd love to have more time to go camping but that's pretty wishful thinking :P

Just got back from camping with my love. And I'm starting work again next weekend.

Well, I've spent most of the summer training to deploy again which is always fun in itself.

Reptile shows - videogames - playing music - work - went to san diego - new snake - universal studios tomorrow - sister getting married this weekend - house sitting - swimming.


Wow :weirdface... I always complain about how I hate summer, but I've been enjoying this one :D.

6. Started first job out of college

Been a crazy one for us with work and kids, but we did fit in a little fun time.

Here is what we did:

Drove from Texas to Daytona, Florida spent a day and night there on the beach, then we drove to Boca Raton. We stayed at a really cool resort called Boca Raton Resort & Club. This was the business portion of the trip, what was cool was that they rented out a museum for a night and we were the only ones there. We got to run around and play with all the science stuff and eat and drink all we wanted, saw a 3D Imax show on Polar Bears. They also had a big exhibit on geckos they had some really cool ones there as well. Finished with the business so we flew our 2 boys out to Fort Lauderdale and drove to Disney and did that for 3 days, and also did Universal Studios, because the wife and kids are huge Harry Potter fans. What made the kids portion so fun is that they didn't know where they were going, it was a complete surprise for them!! We then drove to our property in Thomasville, Alabama and checked on it and got some stuff to bring back and then made the long trip home. Now we are back to the grind and getting the kidos ready for another school year. We might make a few more trips to the river before school starts.
