Black pastel x reduced pattern normal 2012 clutch (DUW)...
For those of yall that have read my posts, yall know this has been a rough and disappointing season for us. Seems to be one issue after another, but this is a happy post for a change.

Our last clutch of the year just hatched. Pairing was reduced pattern normal female x black pastel male. She laid 9 good eggs for us and the outcome was 7 normals and 2 black pastels. Not the greatest odds, but they are all healthy this time with no issues and for that I am thankful. I haven't sexed any of these just yet.

They are all beautiful, but if I had to pick I would keep black pastel #2 and normal #1 or 7. Congrats on a very nice clutch

Woot! Sexed them last night. 0.2 black pastel and 3.4 normals. Not a bad ratio.

Man sounds like you ha a season like mine. Out of 13 girls only 4 clutches were laid. Slugs after slugs after slugs! I only got 5 good eggs this season got 0.2.1 black pastels and 1.1 normals. Psyched about the first black pastel though, never seen another one like her.

Here are a few pics of mine.

The last black pastel remains unsexed as I'm afraid to sex her. She cut her cord after coming out of the egg early not absorbing her yolk so she was 30g when she hatched. I'm afraid to break her lol. Happily she has eaten two meals unassisted but still weighs in at 32g.

Hope your next season is better!
