    All time fav midnight snack???
You know when your hungry at night but don't really have any food? or just have random cravings?? heh that's whats goin on right now.
I'm having a coconut water with some peanut butter as my midnight snack.

What do you rely on for your stomach's satisfaction in the middle of the night (or random foods you crave, lol)
    Let's hear em!

I used to dig late night snacks, but that's how I got to 260 lbs. damn ice cream was so good then, topped with milk. Now, just a glass of water.

aww, hmm, it doesn't beat milk-topped ice cream, but you could always just make yourself a lemonade or fruit smoothie if your craving sweets!:gj:

It's rare I'm even up this late. Can't sleep for some reason. Watching Barter Kings. PB/Jam sandwich was next on the list.

I can't make things like those late at night. Why you up?

Ive been having a bout of not being sleepy till like 3 or 4.... alot of that's thanks to the red light on the snake cage at night- I can't sleep well with lights, it stresses me out:rolleyes: Anything for a warm ball python.:D
Also I've been doing some hardcore sleeping in:)

Lately I've been really craving salty and sweet snacks, so I've been having chocolate covered preztels, or a bowl of chicken soup paired with a piece of toast with jelly. Yummmm. :)

I like cold left over fried chicken... and if we have fresh bread even better... I rarely crave sweets, but when I do my boyfriend is a religious baker so there is always Something sitting on the counter waiting to make me fat lol

Pepperoni, cheese, and crackers. I love it, and not just for the midnight snacking either.

When I was a large dude(300+ lbs/136+ kg), any of the following depending on my mood: pb&j with a glass of milk, tostitos and cheese, taco bell or meatball parm from WaWa.

Now I try and stick with a glass of water or piece of fruit.

Wawa is the equivalent of a Sheetz or "upscale" 7-11. Tried doing a search for a Canadian equivalent but couldn't find one.

go with a ceramic bulb if you are wanting to provide heat from above. it will last longer, and provide better heat than that bulb, plus, you'll get your much needed sleep.

since your change over, what is your weight now? I was able to get to as low as 207 from 260 (with workouts of course), but that midnight snack is what did me in.

4ballz: Gratz on getting down that far, it can be frustrating. I completely did a 180 and changed my diet and exercise regiment. Went from 316 lbs down to 200 lbs. Currently stuck at 230 lbs from the winter weight gain and training for a half marathon in September so I can get back down to 200 lbs again.

For my diet: cut out the snacking, cut out most of my carbs(cause they just go straight to my thighs ;)), ate 4-6 small meals a day, went by the food pyramid, and stayed away from my "weaknesses" which are pizza, pasta, and taco bell(carb heavy foods). Also calorie counted like a boss.

Exercise: 4-5 days a week. 3 days of running and 2 days of weight room. Started out running(read as trudging) 3 miles. Now I do 7 miles with no problem and working my way back up to 10 miles per run session.

Currently I can actually eat more food in one sitting than I could before the weight loss and still have cravings at night which is why I haven't lost the weight. But that is changing. I have control and craving issues and unfortunately had to turn to an "all or nothing" type of weight loss program for myself.

OH the late night snaking demon.

I am a real late night snacker, it's shameful. My favorites include Oreos and milk, ice cream with chocolate syrup, PBJ, Pop Tarts, chocolate cereal and milk, brownies, popcorn, nachos when I can get them, peanut butter and bacon sandwich, fruit when there isn't anything else.

Oh, Peanut butter sandwiches with chocolate syrup. Tastes just like a reeces peanut butter cup. :-)

I value sleep to much so I just relieve myself and back to sleep. However, when I choose to stay up all night (Vegas?) usually an omelette and pancakes or a burrito..

Not much of a midnight snacker. I would rather sleep, I don't get enough anyhow.

not sure if you do or not, but going to the bathroom at night with the light on, causes more stress to the body in mind. I always go in the dark, and as long as you have some good night vision, you should be fine.

I'm bad for this. I buy a whole container of peanut butter every week for myself because I eat It all the time at night. Id say that's lots of pb to go through every week.

    My wife... :gj:

I try not to eat too much food late at night, but if I do need something, I'll snag something quick and simple, like a gummy bear or two. Usually I just drink lots of water.

I'm a strict diet due to my competition I have in a few weeks :(
But what I do if Iim hungry at night is drink a casein protein shake. It slowly digests while you're sleeping so it doesn't slam your body with carbs all at once. It takes like an actual banana milkshake and it is DELICIOUS so I don't mind lol
