What would you get?
Ok so I got tired of all my stuff and the direction I was going so I pretty much sold everything and am starting from scratch. I got 0.2 Mojave females 1600g, 2000g. A bumblebee female 1500g. A spider female 1400g. A pastel female 1500g, And a champagne male 350g. And a leopard male hatchling. Leopard won't breed this season obviously and I can't use the champagne on the spider or bee. So that leaves him with the Mojos and the pastel. Which isn't that bad. But I'm stumped on what to do with the spider and bee. I don't want something "common" that everybody is making. Thought about a spotnose combo. Bit what else would be crazy? Let me hear some ideas and what you guys would do. I know the old saying "it depends on what you like" and I'm not asking to hear that haha I know that already.
Ps. I have an opportunity to pick up a male proven desert and another female spider for pretty cheap. Would you risk that if it was your money and you had just enough to buy one more male for next season?

I would get a Black Pewter Male and breed it to the spyder and Bee. It's not the most common but yeah its still something that's going on. . . However, you end up with a lot of genes in the mix when you cross it with the bee and can end up with some pretty sweet bullets.

Calico. Caliders and Calibees are AWESOME.

I would say enchi lesser male. Or enchi pin male. With a champ and a YB, I'm surprised you don't have enchi yet! Maybe you're not into enchi stuff.
If that were the case, I would get a male that has the pastel gene in it. Maybe pastel phantom/mystic. Go for the super pastel phantom/mystic, as well as a phantom/mystic bumblebee :gj:.

I would go with a lesser or even a BEL Lesser/mojo you could then pair him with the mojo's and the spiders

If you're talking co-doms, calicos all the way. LOVE what that gene does in combo with other stuff, let alone a 3 or 4 gene animal...that would be awesome! If it's recessives, VPI axanthic. That could make some pretty sick combos later down the road, especially combined with the bee and your champ. I'm not entirely sold on the enchis alone but an enchi lesser...now you're talking!

Re: What would you get?
I'd go Orange dream, not many working with those plus the dream Bee is insane.

I like the lesser enchi idea and the pastel phantom/mystic idea.

Also trying to stay away from a male with spider so I'm not breeding spider x spider. This male is for the bee and spider only. The champagne is already gonna go to the Mojos and pastel. Unless I get a mystic then I'll probably to one and one haha

Re: What would you get?
I second the lesser enchi vote!

I'd throw a FireButter at both the Bee and the Spider. Endless combinations and I love the possibility of the Nuclear Spider, Nuclear Bee, FireBee and the ButterBee :gj:

I just picked one up and will post pics shortly as I'm off to FedEx to get him right now.

Enchi spider stuff is awesome..but don't rule out some more obscure stuff like Vanilla or even something recessive for long term projects.

I am a bit different...let me explain :)
I see you have a pastel/spider female and a pastel female and a spider female.... I suppose if you're in a rush, that's fine. However, what I've learned is that if you're in a rush, you're not in the right hobby/business.
It would have been a lot more cost effective, or perhaps a better spending strategy if you had purchased 3 pastels and 1 male spider for pretty much the same price or even a bit less.
At the end of the day my purchase strategy is to buy females that are single, powerful genes and spend my money on males instead.
Best advice I ever got was "Make a long term plan, and stick to it"

I would also vote for something with calico or enchi in it. I love what both of them do when mixed with the spider gene. :D
The spotnose gene has some merit to working with it and I don't think a lot of people are really working with it. The most common combo I've seen with spotnoses is a pastel spotnose, but I did see a lesser spotnose that was really impressive.
As for the second spider female and male desert, that's really up to you. I personally have no interest in the deserts and it's not just because of the issue with females. Since you already have a bee and a spider I think it might be worth it to invest in a different direction and add something you don't already have.

I mean I'm not really "new" to this hobby. I just didn't like the direction I was going and decide to scrap it and start over. I've gotten 0.2 Mojave, 0.1 spider, 0.1 bee, 1.0 champagne, 1.0 leopard, and 0.1 pastel YB With the only two not breeding size are the leopard and pastel YB and I have spent under 3000. So those females I got were for pretty much single gene prices.

Here's my pic thread.... FireFly took down a fuzzy before I put her away. FireButter was just playing with his, so I put him away and will try in a few days. Both beautiful snakes from Mike Wilbanks. I will have to personally thank him in Daytona. He said if I was not happy with either of them that I could return them at the show. Needless to say- I won't be returning either :D
