    Baby anery pigmy rattle snake
    This little one (along with 2 others) was birthed this morning/last night.

    I wish I had a quarter on me to show how tiny it is. It's maybe 5 inches at best. All coiled up its no bigger than a quarter.

    And a bonus... This awesome looking adult male cottonmouth.

    These are actually a friend of mine's snakes. I was over at his place helping feed (more like he was feeding I was watching), and I snapped a few pics of the Pygmy and cottonmouth. Hopefully I'll get a better camera that can capture the true color of he cottonmouth it is much more yellow than what my phone shows. And as far as how common anerys are, I'm not quite sure. Ive read they pretty common in the south Carolina sand hills but the mom to the one photographed is from Florida. I'm going to get a complete collection photo shoot Of his collection hopefully in the next couple of weeks. So, pretty much every north American venomous and several non venomous as well. Can't wait to share those either.
