Gravid??
Our normal female has been building slowly. I'm not very good at palpating nor do I want to hurt the snake. Here are a few pics of her. Any thoughts just from the pictures?

It's very hard to tell from those pictures, but I don't really see anything that leads me to believe she's gravid.
When was her last 2 sheds?
Did you see her glow?
Has she been bowl wrapping?
Staying on the cool side constantly, or sitting on the hot spot?

I dont think she is. Its hard to tell those arent the best pics. Practice palpating! Be gentle, watch videos on how to. Its a great tool!

I am not seeing anything either

No glow :(
Yes bowl wrapping a lot!
She keeps switching back and forth on the warm and cool side.
I didn't think so either. She doesn't seem thick enough to be gravid, I was just curious so I know whether to expect. I appreciate everyone's comments

Re: Gravid??
When palpating put your hand inside a t-shirt, this will help her slide smoothly through your hand and you will be able to feel a lot more.

Thanks Reesy! Thats a great idea, idk why I never thought of that ha! I'll try it as soon as I get home.

If she is still bowl wrapping then she is building, which means she's not gravid. I would keep pairing them.

See that's what I was thinking too, but isn't it a little late in the season already? I kind of want to give her a rest for now and wait till the coming 2012 season to try. I just don't want to get a surprise clutch in 2 or 3 months. Not saying that it would be bad :P the only problem would be that I don't have an incubator yet.

Just an update, turns out she is gravid after all, she should be having her pre lay shed any day now. ;) http://img.tapatalk.com/637e74b3-cdd4-d1b0.jpg

They will breed year round. I have 3 snakes laying this month and another still building. Season just keeps rolling along :D

You all are the experts! ha, I've done hours and hours of research and that pic was taken a few days ago. Here's an updated pic, maybe it is the pre ovulation shed but she looked ovulated yesterday http://img.tapatalk.com/637e74b3-01f4-0c5a.jpg
