Very cool. Been waiting to see someone hit it. So while we are on the topic. What exactly is a panda pied? Is is a super cinny pied or a super black pastel cinny? I have seen it refered to both.

I thought it would be relevant to the conversation. I don't know much about morphs yet, though. Either way, the pandas are awesome looking.

Super cinnamon Pied. A super black pastel cant really exist to my knowledge. Both the black pastel and cinny gene seem to act on the same location on a DNA chain. Basicly a super cinny has 2 halves of the cinny gene. A super black pastel looks very close to a super cinny, and when you breed a cinny and a black pastel together you get a super that looks halfway between the dark brown super cinny and the very dark brown super pastel. Sorry its a bit off topic but I hate when I ask a question and it doesn't get an answer.

To limey, steller ball! Very cool and def a project I would like to work on in the future!

As for not posting without permission you're right on that. But I did source the image.

I think that I was the issue with that warning. I had not read through the rules in detail and just Googled "Panda Pied Ball Python" and found the image here.

Can't tell if your kiddin but I'm 99% sure it's a super cinny or super black pastel pied. A cinny pied or a black pastel pied wouldn't be that black/very dark brown. It would have some pattern to it. The snake in question has a solid color. Super cinnys are a dark brown color and a super black pastel is even darker. I don't think either are a solid jet black so don't expect the panda pieds to be jet black and paper white.

Nuts, I was hopping for a 2nd panda. We really should have had one by now!

(But I would have pulled that prank too, if I'd cut the egg and seen that...)

It is confirmed to be a Black Pastel Pied, it was just Limey being Limey ;). Funny joke many fell for it including me until he told me this afternoon.

Given the number of black pastel pieds and black pastel het pieds out there, I can't help but wonder if more haven't been produced ... And they just haven't been anything that the owner was particularly inclined to show off on a forum. :confusd: (I don't know this for any fact, mind you, just hypothesizing ... )

I think the snake he did produce is pretty darn neat regardless ... It was almost black and white!
