    Balls and Other Pets
Who here has other pets along with their collection ??

    I have my 2 BP's

    2 cats and 2 dogs

My Yorkie couldn't be bothered by my 500 gram normal they were close enough to go tongue to tongue once and well that was to close IMO :D Well not really that dog should be Snake food haha my wife isn't watching me type.

My cattle dog well he's to much of a dog to be around when the snakes are out except for a quick passing.

When I bring a snake in to a common area of the house I have one cat set to kill... well not kill he's to much of a chicken but he act's tough, I have complete faith he wouldn't harm a mouse well I know he wouldn't cause I have proof !!

Our youngest cat 1.5 years is totally interested !! to the point where I have lost faith in her but know 100% if I ever lost a snake in the house I would just have to look for her haha she has acted aggressively toward them but is totally interested in them

what other pets do you have and how do they act when your snakes are out

We have 2 dogs (male Beagle and female Boxer/mastiff mix), one cat and 4 leopard geckos in addition to our new BP. I think we might have room for another BP or two but the wife does not agree.

Along with my BP I have a Leopard Gecko, 2 Cats, and a Betta Fish in a 5 gallon tank. I just recently re-homed my Cockatiel as well because he wasn't getting the attention he needed. :(

Let's see, we have a mutant male boxer that looks more like a small mastiff named Rufus, a female gladiator (mastiff x great dane) named koko, a male rottweiler named gremlin, a pomeranian named jordan, a 10y.o. cat named tigger, and my new psychopath falcon hybrid no name yet but he is a peregrine falcon x prairie falcon hybrid. oh and we have a leopard gecko.

my boxer wants to be my snakes best friend, the mastiff/dane is scared to death of it, the rotty and the cat could care less. and my pomeranian believes that he will one day rid our house of the evil snake by barking at it from across the room.

We have a Lab/Australian Shepherd mix (Louie), 3 fiddler crabs (2 female & 1 male), a 45 gallon Malawi cichlid tank (13 fish) currently being upgraded to 75 gallons, and then Jax my BP. Once our tanks our switched out, we'll get more fish for the big one and an Oscar for the 45 gallon. I'm planning at least one more snake (<--- addict) and a cat once we own our own home. :D

Crabs and fish could care less about the snake obviously. Louie, our dog, is particularly interested in the snake so I usually crate him or have the snake out during the dog's outside time.

    This is our dog Louie:

Lets see, I have one cat, shes a scottish fold named tipsy and wants to eat or attack anything living you put near her. Then we just have the ackie monitor on top of the snakes. I want fish, but living in an apartment and remembering the pain it is to move 5+ and some very large fishtanks, im hesitant to get even one again. Im still trying to convince the wife to let me get a larger snake, I ran into an awesome deal for a 2009 female morelia bredli... shes not much for the idea. Oh and I forgot my 1.3 ASF breeding colony.... and all the feeder mice and rats I have left right now..

In addition to the BP collection, I have a couple of shepherds , Holdi and Tres, and a mal , Allie (I train and compete with the dogs in Schutzhund). A very vocal African Grey parrot, and a couple of horses. I have actually had a few field herping occasions while out riding. Have come across garter snakes and rat snakes and once rode up on a large snapping turtle in a field. Personally, I did not know they wandered very far from water and was very startled to ride up on him. Luckily I saw him before the horse did.

Aside from the BP's and the corn we just have a white mutt, Yoshi; and 2 tarantulas, 'Rantula, and Phillius Don Pedro.

Yoshi (He's the white one on the right):

Phillius Don Pedro (Chaco Golden Knee adolescent):

He has recently become kind of a pissy little thing. I was messing with him a few days ago and he actually flicked hairs at me, I thought it was pretty cool cuz I've never had either do that before. Then he stood up in the "gimme a hug" pose, he was rather annoyed with me.

Really old crappy cell phone pic of 'Rantula (Chilean Rose Hair):
    http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto..._3587592_n.jpg
She likes to stay in her burrow so I never get pics anymore.

We also have quite a few breeder/ feeder rats, quite a few of whom have names but I don't have pics atm.

For right now I'm keeping it simple with just the snakes and Yoshi to focus on, T's require so little care they almost don't count with regard to maintenance. In the future I will probably get a few more animals.

None of our pets see each other. Besides our snakes (balls, corns, carpets, amazon tree boas) we have four pet rats, Irwin, Misty, Binky and Demon. We also have a bunch of Paruroctonus boreus, two Grammastola rosea, two Avicularia avicularia, one Avicularia versicolor, a female russian tortoise and two common sagebrush lizards. I think that is everything...

I'm new to this forum but we have two dogs (a poodle/terrier/chihuahua mix named Cujo and a German Shepherd/Cattle Dog named Bear), two cats (Carmella and Smokie), two betta fish, a crested gecko and five ball pythons (Nacho, Spaz, Ava, Dream, and Loci). I am a huge animal lover and if I had my own place it would most likely become a farm of German Shepherds, Huskies, and ball pythons.

I have a 1 year old cat who is very intent on chewing my snakes up. I've had to put reinforced locks on my rack. Then I have a 1 year old rat terrier and I have no clue how he'd react to them. He's crate trained and he stays in there whenever I have a snake out. My mom has a silky terrier and it's the same deal for her.

Ok, a dog, cats, parrot, chickens, uromastyx, anoles, guinea pigs, rats (pet and feeder)asf's, leopard geckos, beardie, bps, and a boa. That is just current residents, not who we have had in the past. Add them on and it adds rabbits, parakeets, hamsters, a corn, turtles, frogs (tree and whites dumpy), fish (fresh water, brackish, and saltwater). Imo, the cats, large breed dog, and snakes are hands down the easiest and least amount of work. But love them all. :). And nobody is around the snakes, or the occasional cat who lingers in the distance, because I won't let them get to close. My dang kitten likes to jump in open tubs when I am cleaning. Thankfully snakes aren't in when I am cleaning. Kitten just thinks she is ninja kitten. :D

he actually is indifferent to all of them except our 4.25 ft male bp Jasper...bowser always wants to play with him! We'll bring him out and bowser wags his tail and sniffs and does the "front paws down" to play. It's pretty cute.

Along with my ball python "Joker" I have a bearded dragon "Pumpkin", an English Bulldog "Jbaby" and a Boston Terrier "Rocco". When my snake or dragon goes to check out either one of my dogs, they will walk away and turn their head. They want nothing to do with the reptiles. lol

I have 2 dogs, and 4 cats (all rescued animals) and they are really good. They don't seem to care about the snakes at all.
Only when I feed the snakes do the cats smell the mice and walk around meowing as if to say, "well where is my mouse?" LOL
I keep an eye on the cats when I have a snake out, but they haven't ever come close.

Lets see, 3 dogs, a Rottweiler, German Shepard and a Maltese/poodle, 9 ball pythons with 12 eggs, 2 boas, 1 red ear slider. A 60g tank with the turtle and guppies, a 18g tank of endlers. 2 hens and a shed full of rats, mice, gerbils, ASFs and a lone spiny mouse. I think that is everything atm... No one really cares about the snakes, but I haven't let them socialize either.

I've noticed a lot that bp owners also have fish. I'm kinda surprised that the fish section on here isn't more populer :P
Right now I have 3 bps with another on the way and 5 cats whom I need to get pictures of! I used to be big into fish myself and plan on getting more once I move. I also wouldn't mind having a pet rat one day :)

We have my 9 BPs, 2 RTBs I'm keeping for my friend, 2 leopard geckos, 8 rats(6 breeders and 2 pets), 1 cat(Darla named after the vampire from Angel), 1 dog(pit bull mix Ceejay. My husband was the onle to spell his name not me.), 2 goldfish my sister in law won my daughter at the carnival last weekend, and my 2 daughters. I want a second dog, but can't until we move. Ceejay gets too excited when I do stuff with the snakes so he is always put in his crate when they are out. Darla is curious when I first bring a critter home but loses interest very quickly. My kids love my snakes and rats both. Thankfully everyone is very tolerant of them.
