Post your first
Do just as the title says, post the first Ball Python that started your addiction. I can't take a picture of mine right now, he's getting ready to shed, and I also don't have a camera near me. But until then, post away!

Our het Pied, Sadie, was the first ball python we ever got. Rescued/rehomed ball pythons in the past, but Sadie is the first we ever actually purchased with the intent of keeping as a pet. One very long fast later, she's finally a great eater - but also the most picky about her habitat. She is the only snake that has fake plants and 2 hides... most of them don't have any hides because they're in a room that is dark most of the time, and in a rack.. you take her fake plants out, and watch out for another fast

Pieds started it for me way back in the day. So much so that I told myself my first BP had to be a Pied. Now, over a decade later, this guy is coming home with me in August. His name is Z'Jargo

We might have to start a 'First Reptile' thread! This guy was my first BP, but it's my little Crested Gecko that gave me the confidence to get this far!

Re: Post your first
yeah, I custom made that :-D The entire set up was about 40+ hours of work.
I took sheets of styrofoam, then carved it in rock style, covered it in grout, then used non-toxic paint to bring it to life. The guy that bought it from me, uses it for his IJ carpet. The snake loves that thing. :-D
I'd post a link to the build, but for some reason, it's been removed...
missed the reply with quote (sorry)

My first snake is a normal bp named Lily. I got her on the move from TX to NC at a reptile show in Alabama. We stopped to get gas and we saw a sign for a reptile show, so we went. It wasn't a big show, but it was pretty cool. She had to sit in my lap for a day because it was too cold in the car we towed behind us, but she was fine with that and ate the first day in her new setup. She hasn't refused a meal since and has grown from a little hatchling to about 400 grams
Here's a picture I took of her chilling with Hitler on top of Polly's cage

My first snake is a male Pinstripe. He's a very confident snake who doesn't spook easily. Has never struck out or been feisty. He has never missed a meal and I love him to death!

So my first was actually this little guy my very own NPH (I know he is not a BP but if I had not decided to get him for myself as a College graduation present I would not have the 10+ I do now) :D

My male pastel "Monty" was my first snake, the one who started the madness. I got him in December, now I have three and am hoping to breed later onhttp://img.tapatalk.com/c6e4d891-29fa-cf23.jpg In my new rack

He is just the best snake ever, feeding like its going out of style, and giving me perfect sheds every time. I love him to death, and I wouldn't trade him for the world.

My first guy was one my sister rescued 2 years ago, she worked at Petsmart and a guy dropped off a cage with 3 ball pythons and a corn snake in it. Zuni was the smallest one, probably ~500g at the time. He weighted in at 1682g this week! Just a normal male but he is awesome and I love him so much!
http://i1201.photobucket.com/albums/.../IMG_09272.jpg
I have this picture in my gallery I believe but it's a picture of Zuni april of last year next to my first morph, a pastel female, Mariah.
P.S. my Mom got me started when I was a kid, she bought my sister a ball python for her 10th? birthday. Despite it being my sister's snake, before long BB was obviously Mom's snake! She still loves to come hold my nippy babies, and hasn't been bit yet.

I don't have his earliuer on pics due to a hard drive failure years back, but this was the snake that started my obsession with yellowbelly's, it's his fault, I blame him for all the mayhem...

Alas, I don't have any photos of my first. I had a pair of normal ball pythons named Shaitan and Lilith, many many years ago. When my husband took a job that required continual travel, we gave up our home, put our stuff into storage and hit the road--I had to re-home all of my pets at that time, on very short notice--the snakes went to a reptile rescue, the rabbit went to a rabbit rescue, and the cat went to a friend.
It was 3 years before we settled again and I was able to get more reptiles. (A water dragon, and leopard geckos). I didn't get any more ball pythons until I decided to begin breeding them, and I jumped in with both feet, buying a proven pastel male, three adult normal females, a pair of orange ghosts hatchlings, a pair of albino hatchlings, and a male spider hatchling.
I love every minute of it. :)

First Adult BP: Monty Python
I know, common name I am sure. I had a few as a young boy but my first true BP as an adult that kicked off the addiction is our 2011 Jungle/Lemon Pastel Monty Python

Here's my first, a normal gal named Delilah... never imagined she'd be one of almost 30, just a few years later!
As a baby:

When I discovered she doesn't like to eat rats... she just cuddled with him instead, LOL.
