finally i got a bumble bee
So i might of done the dumbest decision on trading my 500g female pastel for this 70g male bee but i finally got my favorite morph. i could of just breed her to my spider and made my own bee's. but now i don't need my spider and i got an excuse to get another female.

what do you guys think good trade or dumb decision?

here is my little 70g male bee. i offered food and he took it

Bumblees are my favorites, if your happy that is all that matter. Your bee looks nice and he already ate so you are on your way.

Depends on how your pastel looked tbh.
I wouldnt have done the trade bc im not crazy about spider combos but as long as youre satisfied then it was a good deal.

As long as you are happy with the trade then it is a good trade!:gj:
Money wise it was probably pretty even or maybe slightly in your favor.

I personally wouldn't of done that trade. I would of sold the male Spider and used that money towards the purchase of the male Bee.

I love Bumblebees! My favorite. I got one in a trade for a male Albino (I no longer have that Bee) At the time I was stoked! I think as long as you're happy that's all that matters. I think it was about an even trade IMO.

I think it was a good move. Pastels are just a few bucks more than a normal in my woods and a Bee hatchling goes for $400 easy anyday. Throw your Bee at a $50 Normal and get a Pastel back for about nothing....

I just picked up a Bee myself. Amazing how hey all look just a bit unique in their own way.

I understand that. But now if you buy a hatchling female you have lost the 6-9 months of growth that you put into the female Pastel. In all likely hood the female Pastel would of been ready to breed next year and a hatchling you get now probably won't be ready for 2 years from.
This is just looking at it from a breeding standpoint.
As I said before all that really matters in a trade is if you are happy with it and it seems like you are so that is a good thing.:gj:

A decent hatchling female Pastel is about the same cost as a breeding size female Normal roughly $125-150. A Pastel the size that the OP traded would be worth $200-250 or so. And male Bee's are around $350 currently. So money wise yes it is a decent trade. But, as I said earlier it's about more than just that. It's also about the size of the animals. Sure he can probably breed his new Bee to a Normal this coming fall and hopefully produce another female Pastel. But then you are looking at another 2-3 years before that female will be ready to breed. Whereas the female Pastel he had would of been ready to breed next year.

I am really fond of the bee I have to I can understand wanting to trade a pastel for one. I actually was trying to trade my female pastel for a male bee before I actually got a bee. If you like it, that is all that is important. The beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
