A good deal?
So I bought a pair of bps who are 1/2 brother and sister. 1.0 albino and 0.1 bet albino. Spent 300-kind having a hard time believing that the bet is a fem tho, of course I can't seem to pop any of my snakes the right way...both have about the same size spurs however..Oh and they're both from 8-11 and about 225-250 grams.
Do u think I got a deal on the pair though?

Het* shout out to autocorrect lol

Spur size means nothing. The price is great as advertised.
I would never buy a het from someone I could not fully trust to at least provide the correct sex.

I wouldn't buy hets from someone I don't know and trust, or isn't a reputable breeder. Spur size has nothing to do with what sex they are. I have females with huge spurs and some with itty bitty spurs.

The purchase was originally just the male albino and he said he cld throw her into the deal, he had paperwork that showed all the parents, also said that he was selling it for a friend of his who is a local breeder. It was kinda impulsive I guess lol. So let's say the hey proves out...then would it turn out to be a good deal?

$300 for a 1.0 albino ain't bad. :-) throw in another snakes, bonus.

Re: A good deal?
I would be less than thrilled about that weight at a year old. I have May 2012 hatchlings that are pushing 200 grams already.

Echo everyone else on being leary of the het part. Also, I would wonder if they were not good eaters or had parasites with that weight, or maybe just underfed. My bee was 800 at a year. I know they all grow at different rates, but that's awful small for a year old. You have them in qt I hope. Got pics?

The 1.0 Albino for $300 is reasonable. It's not a good or bad deal, but the added "female" is a plus.
I agree with Annarose15. I'm a little concerned for their weight. For 8/11 snakes, 200-250 is very small. It indicates a picky eater, improper feeding, or the seller is lying about the age. My 12/11 snakes are in the 800g range.

Yeah, I beleive them to be underfed...He said they were eating hopper mice...and he said he hadn't been able to feed them regularly..I've had them for a month or so and fed once every five days. Their first meal with me was a hopper, just because I figured it would be the easiest route being that they might be a little stressed with their new homes, second feeding was regular mice and they handle that pretty well, i have been trying to switch them to rat pups and after a little coaxing with the scent of a mouse the male went for the pups, female is still having issues switching over. The female is in shed and refused the last feeding but they seem to have put on some girth since I've had them. With the exception of the female refusing during shed which is obvi not a big deal, they have eatin without any hesitation. I'll pull out the scale again and weigh them and try to snap a couple pics...scale's not digital so all weights are give or take.
...i feel like i'm rambling, sorry. haha
ps yes they're quarantined
