How do you beat this summer heat?
The weather has just been unbearbly hot. I was just wondering how all of you deal with the heat? I run my air conditioners all day and all night. I take cold showers a lot too. Most of the time, I just try to go somewhere where it is nice and cool.

I feed the horses and trim feet, or ride very early like before 7/8. Take a bath when I get home, but I try to keep my ac on 77/78 during the day and 74 @ night. Other than that I stay inside.

Today we went bowling, tomorrow is the free movie and the rest of the time is lounging in the pool with a nice cold drink in my hand :)

I can't beat the heat if there's no heat. I've been doing my usual routines.
It's been a steady 70s here in California. My house doesn't have an AC unit either.
It actually just dropped in the 60s yesterday and had a freak rain shower. I needed to dig up a jacket last night.

Beat the heat? What's that lol. I go out and enjoy it and sweat a lot. Field herping, play disc golf, hike, and anything outdoors really. But when I like to cool down I put a movie on or watch Netflix in my house with a fan in my face and the ac blowing.

We don't typically hit the higher numbers that you guys are getting right now. Thankfully! Not many people up here have A/C units. Well, a good number do, but not nearly as common as it is stateside. Those temps are brutal!

I have to say the worst is getting into a hot car. Ugh. Just drives me nuts. My A/C went in my car the other day too, so I had all the windows open and it was still hot and sticky and gross.

I typically limit outdoor stuff to early morning or later evening, when the temps start to drop just a bit.

At my boyfriends apt he and I and the roomate all want it DEAD COLD and we keep it as close to 68 at all times. When it gets above 75 we call the office and tell them we need to get it fixed. I don't go out until nightfall and when i do i had better be in the water or it has to be less than 80 (so I'm only out between 6-8 AM). AC in the car is on high no matter what and the only time i want it warm is in the shower and at night when I'm covered in blankets and that's more for security

I stay in my hide which I keep at 68° when I'm not working, and work nights to be out of the daytime heat.

In Houston it actually hadn't been to bad. We have been getting alot of rain which is no good for motorcycle riding.:tears:

I dont really mind the heat. I have an AC in my room which keeps it at like 75ish. Thats comfortable to me. I like to work outside in the heat and sweat alot. Then come inside take a cold shower and cool down. The only time i get bothered by heat is at work. The kitchen gets HOT and i have to wear long pants which is unnatural for me. I deal with warm temps much better than hot temps. I have literally cursed out cold weather and snow at 5am while im cleaning my car off to get to work lol

Its 111° F in Ontario, Canada right now. Ugh it sucks! We have 2 A/C's running 24/7 but I am usually in my bedroom where my snakes and lizards are so there is no A/C in here so I usually sweat so bad. Feels horrible on my leather computer chair.

I personally love to go outside and drive cars that have been baking in the sun, pull them into my shop and start working on the burning hot engines. At this point a cup of hot coffee would seem to cool me off. Haha.

Just staying at my room with the AC on. But we were planning to go beach as the temperature specially now is really intolerable. Drink alot of cold water folks as this might cool you down.

Seriously, I wish we had some sunshine right now.... The last month has been ridiculous this side of the pond! Some places here had a months worth or rain in a few hours, a bridge collapsed, flood warnings everywhere!

To whomever is in charge of seasons in England...

    SORT IT OUT YEAH?! >___<

    Sincerely,
Drenched and running out of dry shoes!!!!!!!!

For when is IS warm here... I stick my tootsies in cold water :) Cools the rest of me down.

I live in Alaska. It's been a cold, rainy summer with terrible salmon runs. There is no heat to beat! lol

I've learned to love the heat. If you can get to where it doesn't bother you, it makes life a lot easier.

I mean, I have worked and still do work in really hot conditions. I did concrete work for 5 years and I now unload semi trailers. So, I've just gotten used to it. More than, actually, because at about 75F I start getting too cold haha.
