I was going to say super lesser/butter. The eyes are a little buggy.

Nice pickup - can't go wrong with a white snake!

With any blue eyed leucy you wouldnt have any normals. super lesser, super butter, or mojo lesser.

Nice looking snake tho, hopefully that bad attitude wares off so you can handle that beauty!:)

Mojo/Lesser are allelic and also co-dominant, meaning there isn't a way for the genes to recombine that doesn't include visual expression of 1 or the other.

All BELs and BkELs act as Supers in that there are no Normals when bred.

Nice BEL... Where'd you get it from?

Right, but a mojo/lesser has two heterozygous alleles meaning it wouldnt necessarily pass the gene to every baby. Homozygous reaches to heterozygous in it's f1 generation.

Never mind I get what you guys are saying. So anything with a common allele makeup has to produce it's het components? So a superstripe cannot produce normals either then? Just specters and yellowbellies?

Sorry a little off topic, what are the ingredients for the Black eyed lucy's??? Also congrats on the little pip squeak!!!

Black Eyed Lucy is 2 copies of the fire gene I think.

Blue Eyed Lucy is any combination of Lesser/Butter and Mojave. The Mystic gene is on the same allele, so things like Mystic Potions are also considered in the BEL complex.

    Morphmaster -
Homozygous means 2 copies of a gene on the same rung of the genetic ladder of DNA
Heterozygous means 1 copy of a gene on the same rung of the genetic ladder of DNA

Even though lesser and mojave don't look exactly the same - those mutations exist on the same rung of the ladder. This is what allelic means.
Any combination will create a 'super' (Homozygous) form (mostly all white snake). If you take that genetic ladder and saw it down the middle of the rungs - each half will have 1 or the other (Mojo or Lesser) since there are 2 mutant genes on the same rung. One half of that ladder mixes with mommy's genes and since each has 1 copy of the gene (Heterozygous), no normal babies.

With recessive genes, you only SEE the animal as different in the super (Homozygous) form.
