Well, you heard me, and I'm soooo excited about them. Well, they were abandoned in an apartment building recently, so I got ahold of them. :) They are both hatchlings, about 175 grams a piece. One is kind of messed up (just some old shed stuck on her) but she's chubby, and the other one is opposite of that. Alittle on the skinny side, but clean as a button. I probed them out to be 1.1, so I guess I got kind of lucky. The male (the clean one) has already taken a f/t rat pup for me. Woohoo...:) I decided to snap a few quick shots of him just now to show you all the cuteness..:) The female was hiding, and in shed so I'll leave her alone for a bit...
Think of names! I'm so bad at that! lol..

Sorry for the low-quality pics, I wanted to hurry and let him settle back down...:)
Anyway, thanks for looking.. :) I'll get pictures up of the female once she sheds and eats for me.

I got two new babies last week!!
Yay! Very cool. How about Pancho and Lefty? Or Sonny and Cher? Or Slim and Curly? :D
-
Hehe...Slim and Curly....I like those! The slim snake will get nice and chubby and the one with "curly" stuck on sheds will get clean and sleek.... Very cool name idea, Marla! I was gonna try and come up with a couple, but now I'm stuck on those...LOL
-
Oh, and Jennifer....beautiful little guy you got there! He's a real looker!
I didn't think the pics were "low quality" at all, either.
-
I noticed a lot of pics of bp's in here, the bp's are very shiny and vibrant. Mine is very dull and not so vibrant.... How do you get them so shiny and beautiful?
-
sexing baby balls...
Well, I think most ball pythons are supposed to have a shiny, or at least clean and smooth looking scale-coat (lol) if they are healthy. Are you sure Hydra isn't about to shed?

 Glad you like them. I like going with the less predictable, in case you haven't guessed that yet, lol.

Hi jennifer,
beautiful snakes!
I am glad they are in such a good home now!
I bet they will both be up to tip top health very shortly.

Congrats on the new additions.
How about Bonnie and Clyde?

I was thinking about that Ironhead... But I REALLY like original names that no one has heard of, and that sound cool (I literally usually end thinking of cool words, finding the meaning, finding the latin name, do the same for another word, put them together to make one cool sounding name). Confusing? Ahh, oh well, I get it. :P Hehe....But these are all cool suggestions, I'm keeping them in mind. :)

You said you liked Latin, so I suggested the name of the woman the Trojan War was started over (Helen of Troy) and the name of her lover (Paris) who stole her and triggered the war. It's from The Iliad, the book by Homer that a lot of us were forced to read in high school. I despised it until I read a retelling by another author which turned it into an interesting story. :)

Is Vigo Yawning?!?!
Jennifer.....Check this site out. It has 8,000 Latin Word's
Thought you might want to check it out.

Thanks, man. That will be useful. :)

Hey, that Latin site is really cool! I bookmarked it, too. Thanks!

i went to an English to other language translation site and typed in words that described the snake and choose which language sounded the best.
-
Heh. For translations, I love Lost in Translation which will take an English phrase, run it through Babelfish to translate to several different languages and back to English after each one. The end result is usually funny. For example:
Original English Text:
Balls are usually docile snakes.
Translated to French:
Les boules sont habituellement les serpents dociles.
Translated back to English:
The balls are usually the flexible snakes.
Translated to German:
Die Kugeln sind normalerweise die flexiblen Schlangen.
Translated back to English:
The balls are normally the flexible queues.
Translated to Italian:
Le sfere sono normalmente le code flessibili.
Translated back to English:
The spheres are normally the flexible tails.
Translated to Portuguese:
As esferas são normalmente as caudas flexíveis.
Translated back to English:
The spheres are normally the flexible tails.
Translated to Spanish:
Las esferas son normalmente las colas flexibles.
Translated back to English:
The spheres are normally the flexible tails.

That's halarious Marla. I would've never guessed it would turn out funny...
-
Hee hee. Sometimes you have to try a few different phrases to get a good one.
Original English Text:
Little Rascals featured Froggy, who had a very rough voice.
End result:
Small gauner that contained to dining room of frogs, this voice had a one very approached.
