2012 Clutch #1 Post Shed (Pic Heavy)
My first clutch of 2012 is shed out (except for one normal male - I will add a pic of him once he sheds). The pairing was BHB YB male x Striped Normal female. I'm happy to see that mom passed some of her striping on to her babies.

    YB Male #1

    YB Male #2

YB Male #3 (He's just as cool as the others...just less interested in holding still so his pic isn't as good)

lol this looks like my post i would have made. I did the same pairing. a yb male x striped female. My offspring turned out the same way with mom passing on the striping. and to top it all off i hatched only 3 yb's and they were all males. Nice looking clutch.

Nice clutch...Too bad it was male heavy though. Also...it looks like you may have some granite going on? Pic of mom please?

I'll try to take some pics of mom this weekend. In the mean time, here's an old pic of one of her Pastel daughters at 800g. I don't have this Pastel anymore, and I kick myself every time I see her pic. I've produced a few Pastels like this from this normal female over the years. I'm not exactly sure what's going on with her, but she always seems to make nice babies:).

Haven't had time to snap a pic of Mom, but here is one from while she was incubating this clutch.

Question about the strips - are the striped normals sold as normals? If so, do they let the person know it'll be a striped normal?

When I've sold babies from this female in the past, I've just told buyers that mom is a striped normal that seems to pass the striping on...it's not really something I'd call genetic, though, so I've always priced them as normals.

I don't know. The yellow bellies don't look that regular yellow bellies. I would suspect something granite; but, you MAY have something genetic.

Even though #1 is a male id still hold him back and breed him to the dam. Hes got some granite like speckling going on there too. Really nice. That striping defonetly looks like its genetic!
